I have never played Fallout 3, but I lol'd at the movie :v:
Fallout 3 is for RPG lovers, Borderlands will be for action game lovers.

CS - Nation didn't say the game was dumb guys..
Fallout 3 wasn't an action game at it's core, it was an RPG. I can see why people thought it was boring if you went into it with the mindset of it being a FPS in the traditional sense.

At first, at the very beginning it can be pretty snoring. but not even a couple of levels up, you realize that there are actually tons of ways to have fun with Fallout 3. As for borderlands, I'm totally sure ill find ways to find fun with it too.

First fallouts were less boring than Fallout 3.
That didn't make F3 a bad game, though.
IT was just Run or VATS, most of the game, though. Otherwise the combat didn't feel as satisfying.
I wouldn't keep playing it if it was boring...
If you compare it to an actionpacked shoot everything you see shooter then sure it might sound boring.
God, the gun sounds from that trailer sound awesome. Everything sounds like it has power behind it.

I honestly never found Fallout 3 boring at all, but I do see where he's coming from with the guns. Fallout 3's guns were never something I liked, unless it was a Mini-Nuke launcher, or the Tesla cannon. Borderlands looks pretty neat, but I don't really like their shading style. Looks too...almost TF2-y.
Funny, loads of people complain about fallout 3 because it's too much fun, wanting the clunky awkwardness of the originals back. Boy will they be happy to hear this.

What are you talking about? The texture quality is great, this used to be a very realistic shooter (graphic wise) but they changed it to this art style to make it look more unique and less dull.
I never liked Fallout 3 much, played through the first level (escape the vault), took one hour to roam around outside, and found it almost as depressingly boring as Far Cry 2. I've not deigned to touch the game after that.
Though truth be told I've not got much hope for this game either.

Because adding black outlines to everything in sight and washing down the textures in the game will fix how boring a game is for sure.
This isn't my kind of game I guess. When we're talking about the world being in ruin and a fight for survival, I imagine a bit more than "Here's a gun, go shoot that guy in the face! IN THE FACE!" Even looking at it as a first person shooter though I don't see much appeal here. It's a run and gun with missions in a land that's a barren field of nothingness.
Yeah, I don't really like the cel-shadedness.
