No Snow Chicago: Windy City Having Non-White Winter for First Time in Nearly 150 Years
Not just because the president of the United States mentions the city every day or because the beloved Cubs won the world series last fall but — for the first time in 146 years — Chicago is going through a snow drought with not a flake at all in the months of January and February.
It's especially notable in a city known for its brutal winters.
Chicago averages over 40 inches of snow per winter and the city always preps and for months revving up "a fleet" of snow plows and salt trucks to service over "280 snow routes," according to the city's website.
So the last two months have thrown Windy City residents for a loop, with temperatures hitting spring-like highs — without a lick of snow.
Im in Champaign, like 120 miles south of Chicago. Currently having 60+ weather for the past couple weeks. It's ridiculous. 4 years ago we had a snowstorm where classes were canceled.
Science has not agreed on the levels that humans are impacting global warming
More evidence that Trump is correct. The whites feel ostracized and are scared to go to Chicago.
and here in western washington we've been getting far more snow than usual, fucking global weirding

Yup, it's been nice as hell in NWI lol
Troubling as shit though, considering we're usually buried under snow atm.

Setting aside the other reasons, I wonder if this is the reason we're seeing a spike in Chicago's crime rate recently. Folks who should be at home freezing their tootsies off, are, thanks to the milder winter, able to move about and blow each others brains out much easier right now.
IIRC, there's also a study that specifically talks about the correlation between temperature and propensity for violence.
But we just got dusted last week?

It makes sense. Who wants to go out and fight/shoot in a snowstorm or rain? Wait a minute. That's how nobody will ever expect an attack... hold up gonna patent this idea and sell to the south side gangs
But we just got dusted last week?
might just be accounting for the city proper, or actual accumulation sticking
And just 80 miles north, our weather here in Milwaukee can't make up its fucking mind on which season it is. Last week it was in the 70's and now its mid 30s and getting snow. Maybe. Depending on how it feels.
I know its a bad sign, but I hate the snow, so, in a way, I hope it never snows again.
In Pennsylvania we had one good snow this entire year, but most of February hasn't gone below 40 during daytime, in fact it's supposed to be around 70 today

Okay. I plan to move to Austin anyways.
B-but climate change is a myth!

I haven't had to wear a jacket since 2016.
Dunno what happened, we had snow dumped on us and got hit by some pretty brutal cold back in December.

I'm at the tip of the state and we've been having 70 degree weather for almost 3 weeks straight. When I was a kid we used to get a few feet of snow, then a few inches, then ice storms, this year we didn't even get a single flake, and no wonder when it was in the 50's and 60's from November onward.
Increased temperature = faster processes
this is why some of you are having weird fluctuating weather
Meanwhile it's tornado season in Tennessee. And we've only had one big snow all season which is a lot less than normal.
70 degrees in Virginia today, I can't wait for it to snow in April
It did not snow any more, but I was in Chicago on January 1st and there was still plenty of snow on the ground.
Update here in Milwaukee, its fucking snowing.

And down here in Kenosha, it's been raining on-and-off since yesterday.
It's wet. I want the snow back.
It's been pretty disappointing lately. I miss snow
We've had steady springtime temperatures here in Kansas that came a full month early. February is usually the coldest month here but instead it has been around 60F for the last two weeks
meanwhile on the west coast its freezing and hailing like every day
Here in rockford it just started snowing despite it being above freezing
wtf is this reverse racism bullshit... non-white...
/s
for real tho the weather over here is weird as it is not looking forward to the next few months tbh
