A ten-year-old boy has been hailed as a hero after clinging onto a moving SUV to rescue his sister from a convicted sex offender.
The criminal, who was on bail for robbery, attempted to abduct the girl (12) on the side of a country road near the village of Cullahill in Laois.
She was playing with her two brothers near their home when the man stopped and asked for directions to the local priest's house.
He then jumped from the stolen vehicle and grabbed the girl.
But her younger brother lunged through the driver's window at the would-be kidnapper punching him as the jeep began to drive away.
The brave boy distracted the driver long enough so that his sister could jump from the moving vehicle.
Badass kid.
What a little badass.

Kid's not just a badass, he's a badass motherfucker.
I want to have a beer with him when he grows up.
Holy shit, this might be the closest thing to a real-life counterpart to the kid in this book

Good for that kid, I wonder how he feels about it afterwards, realizing what he did
Theres nothing stronger than a love for your siblings. Now thats a brother.
In a single moment this post has managed to convince me that the video game joke ban was the greatest change this forum has ever had.
Pretty much when the mods started banning people for making half-life references people got pissed. Then they suddenly went to accept it, I guess we just got a lot of bad posts that seemed to justify it because people went to accept it pretty quick.

Of course the excuse with child abduction on his mind was a priest's house.
Good on that kid for his heroism.
That kid's one bad motherfucker.
It's good that in the process the kid didn't hurt himself
I wish I was as cool as him
10 years old and he's already packing balls of solid granite.
That kid is going places.
Video games bringing the courageous part of the kids!

Granted, it might not be an excuse:
