No surprise after seeing videos of those things launching. You'd have better luck with a model rocket.
its isreal's fault, its always isreal's fault [sp]this is sarcasm[/sp]
They wouldn't be launching rockets at anybody if Israel did not exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They wouldn't be launching rockets at anybody if Israel did not exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Welllllll it doesn't quite work like that now
They wouldn't be launching rockets at anybody if Israel did not exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hitler came from alternate dimension where this was the case and just wanted to help us.
It's actually been really interesting seeing how volatile and brittle that region is. You've got two nation-states flung into almost all-out war over a couple of murders. That's kind of insane. Really puts all the rhetoric in perspective, doesn't it?
Hitler came from alternate dimension where this was the case and just wanted to help us.
But.. But all he wanted to do was to help us! [sp] I was being sarcastic, obviously.[/sp]
But.. But all he wanted to do was to help us! [sp] I was being sarcastic, obviously.[/sp]
That's what I said, why do you repeat me? Are you trying to steal my fame?
At least it didn't end up as all-out war like it did in 1914 yet (a couple of murders touched that off too)
Gavrilo did nothing wrong! Freedom for Yugoslavia!
I know what will solve hasty, poorly aimed rocket barrages! More hasty, poorly aimed rocket barrages!
At least it didn't end up as all-out war like it did in 1914 yet (a couple of murders touched that off too)
Well, wars always have way more deeper reasons than just a few murders. Europe back then was like a room full of gas with lots of smokers inside. It was just a matter of time. Honestly, I also really doubt that this war (i mean, between Israel and Palestine) started only because of a couple of murders or something. I bet this all started when Israel poped up out of nowhere, and took a part of Palestine's land.
So you're saying the murders were more of a catalyst than a cause?
the cause was flexible response, or gradual response escalation, both sides are prepaired to respond to each other and each time they respond they step up their level of response until before you know it, they're at full blown war. its a very dangerous policy its the same one that brought the U.S. and the USSR to the brink of nuclear war in the cuban missile crisis
I bet this all started when Israel poped up out of nowhere, and took a part of Palestine's land.
Because history of Israel is a super secret document and only FBI with Mossad have access to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel
So you're saying the murders were more of a catalyst than a cause?
Yes. It looks like a lot of analysts pin the cause of this round of atrocities on Hamas running out of cash. Apparently with Israel and Egypt effectively cutting off Hamas's economic lifelines to the outside world, especially now that the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas's patrons are out of the picture, Hamas hasn't had enough cash to pay salaries for the last couple of months. They hoped if the reunite with the Palestinian Authority than the PA will pick up their bills, but it looks like the PA was willing to accept the union but not the debt. So now the Hamas has nothing to lose. They're hoping that they can negotiate for a truce where they get some sanctions lifted (cash allowed in, re-opening of the border pass to Egypt) in exchange for not shooting rockets, while getting the support of the Gazan street and the Arab world for carrying on the resistance. Which is probably why so far they have refused all offers of quiet-for-quiet truce. Also, this isn't an "all out war". Have you seen what's going on in Syria and Iraq right now?!
Who edited my title and didn't leave a reply?
Who edited my title and didn't leave a reply?
Don't post claims made by an unnamed Israeli official as fact in the title (don't care if its clarified later in the article). If Hamas makes a claim, you don't regurgitate the claim as fact in the headline, you just say "Hamas: says this claim" Unrelated to the title, Israel admitted in the recent past that they have bombed Gaza's only power plant for the sole purpose of punishing the civilians after a single Israeli was kidnapped, and then it was revealed to a war crime and they got major shit over it. There's a reason why "Israeli official" began in the original source and it is one that precludes the concept of internet reporting, it is a claim made against the other side.
Dude, this was just a metaphor to show up that Israel, unlike most countries, appeared in, figuratively speaking, one day. Don't be such a nitpicker.
nations are relatively recent inventions anyways a century ago, there was no israeli or palestinian nation. it was just a province of the ottoman empire sure you had jews migrating there or arab bigwigs who wanted great autonomy, but you would be hard pressed to assign a nation to it
Because history of Israel is a super secret document and only FBI with Mossad have access to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel
Displacing people off their land to put in new settlers generally isn't the smartest from arbitrarily formed borders made by European interests in the Middle East. http://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/29iaqo/why_was_there_a_need_for_the_united_nations/cilgsh3
Now, part of the reason the Palestinians claimed they had a right to independence, and not the Zionists, was predicated on the idea that the Zionists were mostly new settlers to the area. The Palestinians had lived there for over a thousand years under Arab rule, why should the rule be ceded to Jews now? Sure, Palestine had never been its own independent state, but does that mean it should be denied that right now? These were common arguments made by Palestinians, who hoped to establish a Palestinian state or adjoin the area to a state like Syria, since it would echo the Ottoman Empire's control of those same areas. However, as time went on, as I said, the movement shifted away from pan-Arabism and towards independence.
Why the did they strike the house of a police chief?
They wouldn't be launching rockets at anybody if Israel did not exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every thread you say stupid shit and every thread someone has to tell you why you're wrong.
Source :v:? Details are still sketchy
Objectively speaking, it could very well be the case. At the same time, it would be a convenient excuse if it was the IDF's fault. I don't know. Unless we had a third party source it could be either.

http://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/29iaqo/why_was_there_a_need_for_the_united_nations/cilgsh3
Israelis made the borders of Israel, not some Europeans. Yes, the UN had a partition plan, but that went out the window the moment Israel declared independence and had the 1948 war. In that war, Israelis drew out the map of their country with the blood of Jews and Arabs.
Made? Why did we take Ramat Ha Golan, do you know? Why did we take Sinai, do you know? Do you knowingly encourage sensationalism, or does it just come out of your mouth?
