Finally I designed and built my own website. It was about time. So, that is my creation I want to show you... Besides, a lot of creative stuff I created you can find on my website. You wonder, when does he post the link? ... ... ... Now. If link doesn't work: http://www.smartzenegger.nl/index.html Edit: Oh and don't forget, this is my first website I ever built.
Your graphic link, it ain't workin'
Link?
He used an img as link description. The thing doesn't work, that's why you can't see shit.
Works fine for me
I like it, and it loads fast :D.
Link don't work? works fine, but here's the url: http://www.smartzenegger.nl/index.html
I like it, and it loads fast :D.
What do you mean it loads fast? I mean, does it? or doesn't it? Why you start about the data rate or related stuff? of course, my website is hosted in the netherlands, so it might be a little slower in the US of A.

Nice! This isn't bad at all.

I was not be sarcastic....It is really fast here in PA.
Yay, I've been looking for your maps I loved them back in the day. Now I can have them all again. Awesome.
It's loading surprisingly fast (U.S.) And it looks rad. oh and it's 'built'
? I come from holland, what does rad mean? Thanckxs, I changed it into built.
It does, I said IT LOADS FAST. I was not be sarcastic....It is really fast here in PA.
Ok, well you never know when someone is honest or sarcastic. Just with reading 'n writing, it's hard to percept correctly. (percept the right word?) But it's good to know that it loads fast. You know, I had doubts, because allmost all of the layout is created out of images. But I made them as efficient as I could.
I like it, but it feels a bit crammed though, so little width and so much height. I think you should get rid of the white line on the left side too. Otherwise I'd say you should lower down the orange contrast and make it blend in a bit more whilst still standing out (a bit darker colour that still stands out) and the white line on the right side would be more pleasing if it was darker too, but it's not bad as it is, I'm surprised how little attention it grabs from my eyes. A job well done I'd say.

I know and agree, it's not that wide, but that has to do with a certain standard. standard pages are only 750pix wide, mine is 800. as for the contrast of the orange, I really like it that way because I like color, and that is the only thing that has it. as for the whitebar, it has to be white for the design of my logo's silhouette in the top corner to make it blend in. on the left side, it's a gray line, not white. so you say it should be darker? because I don't know about removing it... as for now, the website will stay this way, and do a 1024 pix wide version later... Thanks. Edit: Oh and don't forget, this is my first website I ever built.
What? You don't believe that this is my first website? Take it from me, it really is. Of course, I didn't use raw html code in notepad or some shit like that. I used a program which has some need tools and with the use of java script. Though I use a program, I designed it totally myself. I did not use any template(s) from the programs site templates library. And no, I'm not shitting you.
I like it. It loads pretty fast (EU).
I heard someone speak of making the website wider... After some consideration, I though it would be a good idea. Having more space on the website, and so it won't look to full with the same info. Great tip "dgg". As for your other tips, I leave them be as they are, though I added some tiny other details aswell. Well, that's what I'm doing right now... as soon as it's done, I'll renotify you.
Very nice.
The fact that it has Arnold on it makes me love it.
Did you write your own CSS?
Quite sexy, you equal a winner.
The fact that it has Arnold on it makes me love it.
Thanks. Do you mean Arnold's silhouette?
Did you write your own CSS?
No I don't. But I modified the CSS file that came with the shoutbox to match the colors of the wipeset. (website) Everthing you see is made in pictures/image files in optimal formats: jpg, gif & pgn whichever was smaller. EDIT: Oh no, shit! Usually when I re-reply it adds it to the last post, now I have a double post... If this feature persists, will there ever come a delete-post button???
Finally, it's done. The wide version is released. I also made all pages part of the website internal ones, they no longer openup another tab or window. exept for the links to the forum. all other links to outside do open in tabs or windows (depending on browser settings) I hope this wider version meets the expectations, it took me some time to get it all done. I also have a new page "about" added. Oh and please tell me what you think of it, give mee feedback, and tell me if you find any bugs/errors or whatever has to change due to shitty bugs. I thank you already. Link:
It's pretty nice, I'm not usually a fan of bold outlines and such, but I'm just glad to see a website without heaps of shiny buttons and gradients. Looks good on my 12" laptop and 24" monitor. Only thing I don't really like is the white strip on the right hand side and even then I think it's growing on me. Loads pretty fast on my shitty Australian internet as well.

As you can see, you find the same thing in my favicon. "it's growing on me", is that a good thing? (I don't know the phrase) As for the speed, I'm pretty amazed that people tell me how fast it loads. All of the design is build up by images, and hardly and color code. Though, all images part the the layout are optimized as much as I could for optimal results. I don't know if you seen my website before, but I have the new page "About" added. What do you think of it?
Yeah, it means he's starting to like it.
As you can see, I have a poll on my homepage. http://www.smartzenegger.nl/ It's a free poll with a remote script hosted on their own webspace by Easy Poll. http://www.easy-poll.com/ Probably because it's free, the data bandwith limit exceeded the end of april, and came back online yesterday. That pretty sux don't it? I tell you, it does! Does anyone have a suggestion of a better free poll, hopefully with it's only script so I can host the script myself. Thanks.
