Kinda surprised direct save state loading isn't a huge thing in a lot of single player games. Damn is this one fast though, its almost old game emulator grade fast.
Depending on the engine you can see multi-gb save files though and a lot of cached content that is probably sitting right next to the save file on the drive. Also for a Vita scale game it probably doesn't need to load very much.
I wish all games had a feature like this. No intros or menus or any other bullshit just straight to the point in less than 10 seconds

And looks like Durante has said it works about just as well (4 seconds) on a mechanical HDD.
