First time i see drums like this, pretty cool.
Is great, I try to remember where I heard a sound like this before.
One of my favourite hang drum videos is this

It sounds very similar to a steelpan drum, really cool.
I want one of those, yet they are only produced by one company and they are upwards of 1500$ after you are on the waiting list.
~2:18 on that second video, harmonics? That was really neat.
Holy fuck that is so awesome. Seriously, it sounds similar to the steelpan drum but it almost emulates the sound of a keyboard at points. I would love to be able to play something like this.
I sooo want one
My teacher was a steelpan maker and pannist. I was like what the fuck when I first saw a video of the steelpan.
Whoooooa that's crazy awesome!
Holy fuck. I am going to classic drum kit classes for 4 years, but I got no place for my own kit. I almost always thrum rhythms while being idle, as they flow through my head. I must get that thing. It looks perfect.

WHERE CAN YOU GET ONE?
[editline]01:55PM[/editline]
Nice. Seems like there are 3 on the whole motherfucking ebay, ranging from $5.000 to $8.000.
:suicide:

For that price, I could buy a decent drum kit and rent a tiny flat solely to play it there for a year.

What the fuck, are they made of pure Heechee metal or what?
Assume that the sound they make it tied to the material, thus that's why they are so expensive.

Buy a steel pan, it's very similar, just inverted. You can get one for $1000

As far as I found out, it's just nitrided steel, which is a classy material, but no really THAT expensive. The problem is that they are for some reason now being made in extremely low quantities.
It seems that they invite persons who wrote them that they want one in very secretive manner, selling the hanghang one by one.
It's some cryptic shit man.
It is fueled by souls or something.
In a way the sound of these interesting instruments remind me of Hammered dulcimer but softer and more "filled".
It could actually be possible to put together an interesting composition.

A saxophone is also just copper, it's the processing that's so expensive...

Don't tell me you can't get a good saxophone under $5000. Or even under $1000.
