Hey I'm Videowarrior, and I'm going to be walking you through the wondrous land that is electronic cigarettes!:eng101::eng101:
FIRST OFF LETS GET YOU ACQUAINTED!
What's an E-Cig?:
"Electronic cigarette. An electronic cigarette (e-cig or e-cigarette), personal vaporizer (PV) or electronic nicotine delivery system
(ENDS) is a battery-powered vaporizer which simulates tobacco smoking by producing an aerosol commonly, although incorrectly,
called "vapor" that resembles smoke." -Wikipedia (Totally legit resource by the way!)
What's "Juice"?:
"E-liquids [Frequently called Juice] usually contain a mixture of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine, and flavorings, while
others release a flavored vapor without nicotine." -Wikipedia (again)
What is propylene glycol/vegetable glycerin?:
Propylene Glycol is a clear, colorless, tasteless chemical base with a syrup like consistency at room temperature. It is frequently
found in many medical inhalers and is used as a carrier. Vegetable Glycerin is a clear, colorless, slightly-sweet tasting chemical
base with a syrup like consistency with a thickness higher than that of Propylene Glycol. It's frequently used in artificial sugar,
various fruity soaps, deodorant, candy, and is used to coat pills to make them easier to swallow. TL;DR: Vegetable Glycerin is
thicker, sweeter, and safer but will burn wicks really fast because of it's thick consistency (We'll get to this later). - ME :eng101:
What is Nicotine?:
You probably shouldn't be in doobiesector if you don't know what this is..
How does the "Juice" become vapor?:
Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin both have low transition points, meaning they can vaporize at a lower temperature than
water (Roughtly 82C) allowing for near instant vaporization. Don't worry your little noggins, the vapor is cool by the time it reaches
your mouth so no worries about scalding yourself with steam! But vaping too often will cause the vapor temperature to increase!

Take your pick, there are lots and lots of options for starter kits but I'd suggest a Kanger EVOD starter kit (It's what I started with,
and I still use it today because of it's small size and good battery life). Take your time! A good vape is MUCH more important than a
good E-Liquid (Good gun + Bad bullets = Average day; Bad gun + Good bullets = Bad day).

Seriously, SHOP AROUND!

There is a huge market for E-Liquid online so you won't have ANY trouble finding one that fits your tastes. However a word of wisdom:
Don't buy Ebay E-Liquid, often times the stuff is complete garbage or knock offs of better brands. Buying liquid from untrusted sellers
is a horrible idea even if it is cheap, who knows what they put in there? Also if anyone says they put their blood, sweat, and tears
into making their E-Liquid back away slowly and notify the nearest psych-ward and tell them the Jiggler escaped.
OK, So you've got your starter kit and your selection of juice! What now? What could ol' Viddy have up his sleeve?

But not right now, because I'm really tired and it's 11PM and I've been doing E-Cig research for almost 2 hours now. I'll be
back with more crap for you guys to gawk at later (Along with HOW 2 BUILD A COIL and other stuff like.. Boobs.. And stuff..)

Are these regulated at all?
I've heard that they aren't given a lot attention when it comes to safety and all that. I've also heard that kids are drinking the juice because the people they're around are idiots and leave that stuff where they can get it.
I have been using these vape pens for a long while now. The 510 threaded ones are the most universal for weed, BHO, and e cig juice.
Ebay is definitely the best place for deals online, but now you can get a set at 7/11 that's pretty nice. I got the Atmos Optimus battery, charger, e-liquid attachment, and free e-cig juice for 20 bucks. Pretty nice deal. If you wanted to smoke BHO out of it you would have to get the glass globe or the steath attachment on eBay for like another 20 bucks.

Most of the bottles are required to have safety caps on them (Similar to a prescription pill bottle) but people are still stupid.

Obviously the Kayfun Lite Plus isn't a beginner tank so I don't suggest jumping in unless you're really searching for massive plumes.
I can vouch for all of the fivepawns flavors. My local shop here in town has all of them in stock to taste test before buying. They all have great flavor, but that said, not everyone will like all of them.

How is gambit? I'm anxious to try it but I'm kinda sketched out by the $30 price tag.
I've been searching for a while now for a great deal on an Innokin iTaste SVD. From what I can tell the usual starter kit is the best value for money. The best deal I can find is: http://www.misthub.com/product/innokin-itaste-svd-starter-kit/
Any opinions? I just need a charger and batteries and juice and replacement coils, but it comes with 3 too. If I wanted JUST the SVD and the atomizer it would be $70+ anyway...

it's been a minute since I tried them all. Like I said, my local shop has them all in stock so I was able to just sit down one day and try them. They all have great flavors, but like I said, it depends on your personal tastes. If you have a way to taste test before hand at a shop that's the best way to go so you don't buy a flavor your buddy thinks is great while you think it's nothing special.

It's worth it! I enjoy every toke I take on this thing. The only downside is the iClear 30's plastic tank, otherwise the flavor is fantastic and it heats nicely.
It says not to use protected batteries but I have and they work just the same.
But if you're planning on picking up a kanger aerotank or something similar then you're good to go. Or even pick up a cheap RBA clone.
Well, today I learned what happens when you mistake lemon ejuice for eyedrops.. Burning like hellfire, lucky for me it was only in my eye for a couple of seconds before I dashed to the bathroom and rinsed the FUCK outta my eyeball.
Word of the wise: Keep your eyedrops FAAAAAR away from your eliquid.
http://www.ahlusion.us/ is honestly my go to. Their flavors are just so complex yet so masterly blended. All the fruits taste natural, not so candylike as is akin to a lot of fruity jucies; Creams and darker flavors (Certain tobaccos) have a heaviness to them that you would expect. Service is great too and the price is fairly reasonable. Personally recommend Smooth Criminal, Boba Tea, and Cantal-Berry Ice to introduce your palate to their juices.

Looks pretty legit, I'll check it out next payday.
Just got a $40 grab bag from madvapes (Which is where I got my orange bolt from) and got a RSST Genesis RBA, a SmokTech Telescope, an 18500 1000mAh battery, a madvapes flashlight, and a bottle of crap juice (Which they throw in regardless to the order). Overall I got around $80 in stuff for about $40, pretty good.

You'll want to shop around and buy flavors, but honestly you're better off doing it all yourself. It isn't hard at all.

Those two are the base, I personally just use a 50\50 mix.
Next you need flavors. I just got Chai Tea, and Key Lime\Bavarian Cream, only tried the Chai so far but it's amazing.
http://www.v-ecigs.com/flavorings-by-seedman/
http://www.v-ecigs.com/flavorings/
There's also additives like menthol\caffine\etc. I haven't used any of them yet, but they're an option.
http://www.v-ecigs.com/additives/
You'll want at least one syringe or a pipette (I just grabbed both to see which one I like more because they're cheap)
http://www.v-ecigs.com/syringes-needles-and-pipettes/
You'll obviously need bottles to put the juice in, I grabbed two of the Cobalt Blue Glass ones. It drips out a little slowly, but I have an RDA so I don't need to fill up a tank and it works out perfectly for me, plus I'd prefer the glass over plastic and it's only a couple cents more.
http://www.v-ecigs.com/bottles/
To figure out how much of the flavoring to use, they have a calculator that's amazing. It also tells you how much you're spending on it. I made 10ml of the Chai to start out and that batch worked out to ~0.44¢ for the whole 10ml. Probably less because I got the PG\VG in larger batches than what they sell and just mixed it myself in the bottle.
http://www.v-ecigs.com/e-juice-calculator/
It might sound complicated, but it's really easy as fuck. The process was literally to measure out 4.5ml of the VG in the syringe, put it in the bottle, same with the PG, and then measure out 1ml of the chai, put that in the bottle, put the cap on, shake it, and it was done. I also have enough flavoring to make ~7 more batches. So for $1.99 plus the cost of the PG\VG which I got anyway for a separate project, I got 8 10ml bottles of juice.
Never buying premixed juice again.
Also, all the sites you have up for buying parts are great, but I personally have been using http://www.litecigusa.net/ prices are dirt cheap.
And if you're going to venture into making your own juice (which you should. Because it's stupid cheap to and you have more control over what you're putting into your body. Plus being able to tweak your flavor at will is VERY nice) you should look into an RDA
instead of a clearomizer tank
Honestly if you want my opinion even if you aren't you should look into getting an RDA. I got an IGO-S, fair warning if you're considering this you're probably gonna want a drip tip It isn't COMPLETELY needed, but sometimes the juice will "pop" on the coil and if you're not using one you'll end up with mildly hot vapor on your lips.
Once you've got that it should have come with some Kanthal wire to make your coil with, but personally I found the wire that it shipped with was too thin and I didn't really like it so I picked up 28 gauge Kanthal Wire when I got the IGO.
As far as wrapping the coil goes I'm gonna just throw this here, as I don't really want to type out the entire process because it's MUCH easier to learn how by watching IMO
I'll edit this later if I forgot anything, but hopefully this is gonna help some people out.
^Nice guide, personally I prefer ribbon wire because it's more 'bendy' but standard Kanthal is nice too.
Just got around to building my new Smoktech RSST.. The thing sucks to be honest, the hole is way too small and while I was test firing it on my SVD the wire caught fire at 1.4Ohm, and after trying to vape it my throat is burned to hell.
The thing doesn't even get the siphon effect going, it just dries out and burns.
The Telescope is still nice though, works great.
Haven't tried anything but kanthal so far, and with how long coils last I probably won't for a while lol
http://www.kidneypuncher.com/rebuildable-supplies/ This place is where I get all my rebuildable stuff, they've got a super nice selection and good prices.
Dumb question but I bought some "premium e-liquid" from vapeking and I don't need to mix that with anything else do I?
I recently made a HUGE DIY order from Mt. Baker and Litecig (For bottles and stuff).
Baker:
1 x Banana Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Grape Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Green Apple Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Peach Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Raspberry Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Strawberry Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Caramel Candy Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Sweet Cream Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Sweetener Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
1 x Unflavored E Juice
(Blend: Max VG%, Nicotine Strength: 0 mg/ml, Bottle Size: 236ml (8oz.))
Also got 5 cobalt blue bottles, and 5 glass vials for mixing. I also have a ton of left over empty plastic bottles that I rinsed out with distilled water.
I just bought myself a Blue EVOD starter kit, and I have to say that it vaporizes really well and the flavors taste better than ever.

I'm using thugjuice from MtBakerVapor and It's pretty good so far.
I know i'm probably going to be buying a Kanger Protank II very soon as my first 'proper' vaporizer.
Whoa where are the mechanical mods at?
here's a picture of my baby after I torched her:

Don't use that juice with that tank yo, it'll damage the plastic and you'll be vaping that until the tank cracks.
Build my own coils, make my own juice... and yet all I ever see in London is overpriced ego kits.
Could you recommend me a tank? I'm currently using an itaste mvp battery and vt carto tank. I'd like something with a decent capacity as I drive a truck for a living, with an option to drip when I want extra flavor. I was looking into a rebuildable tank, but am still a bit unsure as to what would suit me best.
The Kanger Aerotank Mega is meant to be about the best non-rebuildable tank out there right now, I have the mini as a backup and it's fantastic. As a sidenote, the heads *are* rebuildable, but it's a hassle to do and it's marketed as a product that your average Joe can use.
If you want to start learning about rebuildables, I'd suggest getting a dripping atomizer to start with. Reason being, they generally offer plenty of build space and are great for getting your coil technique down before getting a rebuildable tank, otherwise you'd be wasting juice if you can't build a good coil.
With that said, rebuildables take a bit of time and effort to get the knack of, but once you get the hang of it, flavour and nicotine delivery are miles better than any carto or clearo.
My advice if you do want to try rebuildables -
1) Have a backup tank on hand if you're out on the road. Seriously. Backups.
2) Be prepared to drop your nic level DRASTICALLY. I went from 18mg down to 6mg once I started with my kayfun.
3) Seriously, don't believe me on the above point? For your first build, use a juice that's half the nicotine level of your current juice for a few hours, then go back to "normal" strength.
Anyway, once you get the knack of it. Get a kayfun lite plus. Seriously. Huuuuuuuuuge juice capacity, the ability to have even more (or less with a nano kit) juice, ridiculously easy to rebuild... it just works. I struggled with drippers and a "kayfun style" tank (Fogger! Ugh!) for ages, bought a clone kayfun lite, loved it. Worked first time every time. Splashed out for a real one as they're actually rather cheap.

I'm using the KFL+ right now, not the best but it's the most reliable RBA out there.

Thanks dude! I'm probably gonna order a kayfun when I'm back from eforest.
I fucking love my IGO-S RDA
I'm smoking from a King mod clone ATM, although I accidentally left it in the vape shop yesterday. :v:
Anyone got any tips for doing custom builds? I used to have my roommate do my coil and wick setup because he was boss at it, but he moved out. Now I'm just lost lol.
