But the Ukip leader had less kind words for Angela Merkel, describing the German chancellor as "incredibly cold". He also said he saw little to choose between the leaders of Britain's three major parties, telling GQ magazine he does not give a damn whether David Cameron or Ed Miliband wins next year's general election. Farage's comments emerged just days after the Eurosceptic MEP said the European Union had "blood on its hands" for encouraging rebellion in Ukraine, Syria and Libya. While stressing he did not approve of Putin's annexation of Crimea, he said EU leaders had been "weak and vain", adding: "If you poke the Russian bear with a stick he will respond." Farage was questioned for GQ by Labour's former director of communications Alistair Campbell, in his first interview in his new role as the glossy monthly's "arch-interrogator". Asked which current world leader he most admired, Farage replied: "I would say Putin. The way he played the whole Syria thing – brilliant."
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/mar/31/farage-i-admire-putin
I admire his absolute lack of dental hygiene
Farage is the man. He has great logic, grammar, and rhetoric.

At this rate it looks like Putin will get Nigelled in Farages house of horrors
Even as a Eurosceptic I find this comment by him moronic. I don't understand why he would think this would be a wise thing to say considering everything that Putin has done.

People actually want this dude as our PM and that just baffles me.
Looks like a cry for attention, "look at me I have a controversial opinion!".
As an american who keeps seeing this dude in the news here: who is this ass?
As an american who keeps seeing this dude in the news here: who is this ass?
He's a member of the European parliament, despite not wanting the UK to be a part of the EU, and leader of the UK Independence party, which is full of crackpots and racists.
wtf I am losing my appetite just looking at his teeth.
wtf I am losing my appetite just looking at his teeth.
don't worry, just look back at your avatar.
As an american who keeps seeing this dude in the news here: who is this ass?
I guess you could see Farage and UKIP as kind of analogous to the Tea Party, in that they're a small but growing group, they're significantly to the right of mainstream politics, they're popular at the moment because no one likes mainstream politicians, and mainstream politicians are scared of them disrupting everything. They're also exacerbating divisions within the Conservative Party over the EU, much like the Tea Party exacerbated Republican divisions over libertarianism.
For me, he's the anti-Milliband. Full of charisma (to people who don't care about policies), but all his policies are terrible and would throw the UK into some Mosley's wet dream.
