This is the best interview ever.
Don’t count on hearing the Foo Fighters hit "Times Like These" on Glee anytime soon. Frontman Dave Grohl says he and his bandmates are squarely in the corner of Kings Of Leon and Slash. As in, they want no part of the Ryan Murphy-helmed show.
"It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f---ing Glee," Grohl told THR following the premiere of Foo Fighters: Back And Forth, the new Foo Fighters documentary which just made its South By Southwest debut. "And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his f---ing show… f--- that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee."

You might be wondering, has Grohl ever actually watched the show? As it turns out, yes, he gave Glee a whirl. "I watched 10 minutes. It’s not my thing," Grohl grizzled. But he doesn’t have as much of a problem with the series as he does with its creator.
Recounting anti-Glee comments made by Slash earlier this year and subsequent retorts by Murphy, reported by THR, Grohl explained to drummer Taylor Hawkins: "The Glee guy, what a f---ing jerk. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns ‘n’ Roses and Slash is like, ‘I hate f---ing musicals. It’s worse than Grease.’ Then [Murphy's] like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up ol’ rock star, that’s what they f---ing do.’ And then Kings of Leon say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And then he’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes…’ And it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included."
Said Hawkins: "Yeah, f--- that sh-t."
Yeah, fuck that shit.
Dave Grohl is a genius.
Glee sucks.

This Grohl would jump at the chance to be on Glee
Dave is awesome
i am glad he also hates glee
glee is awful
not because it's a campy teen drama musical, but because it's a BAD one
I don't want my songs on glee either.

They'd be even worse.
Glee completely rapes music.
Dave Grohl is awesome!

FRESH POTS!!!
I wasn't sure if he'd be talking about Glee or actually on the show, I'm glad it was the former.

It's very likely that most mainstream media has spoiled what you and everyone in this thread into believing that anything that's remotely like a musical anymore is 'crap' or 'bad'.
Am I one of the few who actually likes Glee? I've found witty and entertaining.
You can't just watch a commercial for a show, or watch 5 minutes of the first episode, and base your entire argument by what you saw in those moments. It's below you and single-minded, gossip and popular opinion is a terrible thing.
I've watched a couple of full episodes. If you find the writing in that show "witty and entertaining", you should take a long hard look at yourself. Preferably on the edge of the top floor of a tall building. Scratch that, you should be about halfway down, moving close to terminal velocity, downwards.
They butcher good songs, fail at making jokes, have shitty characters that no one in their right mind would give a shit about... I could continue, but just thinking about it makes me want to kill myself.
I saw an episode where the "dumb bitch" character said that sex was inappropriate to teach to students, and even mention in front of other adults
Extremely entertaining :geno:

i've seen two full episodes and regretted every second i spent on it
it was the most awful thing i've ever seen.
horrible dialogue, boring characters, atrociously fake singing, bad songs and even worse lip syncing, uninteresting plots, unfunny and completely un-witty.
[editline]20th March 2011[/editline]
basically the dude who created glee can go fuck himself, everyone agrees
You can't blame them if they love these songs.
It's just that they do it so terribly.

even cocksucking faggots hate it and they are about as feminine as you can get
they managed to fuck a song that I thought couldn't be made any crappier, they never cease to amze me in the singer's ability to ruin shitty songs, and brutally anal-fuck good songs (like bohemian raphsody)
The director is just a whiny bitch who complains when he doesn't get his way.
That just ruins the show for me.......and the music.
Well played, Dave, well played.
glee ruined the safety dance for me
What sucks is that the school does Glee, and on the day before Christmas vacation they have some music concert on the stage and they put Glee on it. Great way to start a vacation with bleeding ears.

Yeah I'm with you. It's like everyone who hates Glee are really just following the bandwagon on hating everything popular. It's not like y'know that can't actually find it a terrible show. Hell, everyone who hates Glee actually secretly likes it. Hell I tell all my friends that I hate it but in secrecy I watch it religiously because I'm a closet homosexual.
Seriously though, I love musicals (Singin' in the Rain is one of my all time favourites), but I really, really don't like Glee.
I like musicals. I loved the Little Shop of Horrors musical with Rick Moranis and Steve Martin.
But Glee is just seriously pushing way too hard, forcing people to like it.
In fact, when I was still in highschool, my junior year, we did the broadway version and I got the part of Orin Scrivello D.D.S. I loved Steve Martin's part more than the broadway version, so I captured that instead.

Uh yeah you can. I tried watching Glee. There was absolutely nothing appealing about it in the slightest, so I turned it off.
This on the other hand:

Tell me you didn't ask yourself "What the fuck is going on" several times and that you aren't interested in seeing more. And that's less than five minutes.
I remember him playing as Satan in Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
