jesus christ
you can literally skip to any point in the video and just see him being a prick, i suggest 36:30
wow, that thumbnail/title/length sure makes me want to watch the video /s
"In my own experience, remaining calm when for example being called a racist and staying with my argument or maybe presenting it in a different way is more effective for actually changing people’s minds than correcting their morality."
"OH SO YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME?"
How insecure do you have to be...
What a prick.
I know some philosophy majors who have egos like this. I'm not trying to disparage the field but it seems to attract people who have insecurity and ego issues.
At some points Stefan gets so triggered its hilarious. Superiority complex is strong with this one.
I fucking love Stefan Molyneux but he has become increasingly off the rails recently. He had another video talking about how if someone drags the argument down to base insults and disrespect, he will act the same way in kind, which I feel like he wouldn't have said just a year ago. I get the impression that he is going through the same sort of problems Totalbiscuit (weird segue but follow me) did regarding community interaction where he just spends so much time obsessing over everything that pops up in his comments or the questions that get sent his way and it really hurts his actual philosophical content.

He really went downhill after the elections
He really went downhill after the elections
It was happening prior to that but yeah, a lot of content creators took a dramatic downslide with the 2016 election. Channels I had been subbed to for years (5 years, in one case) I had to let go because they were willing to abandon ideals and principles they had championed for all that time in a no-holds-barred effort to alternatively push Trump or cut down Clinton.
What an idiot. The guy he's talking to basically means "you'd be much more convincing if you did it X way" not "I'm better because I do X". What a dork.
his videos are comically dramatic.. :v:

He is in the camp of people who genuinely believed that Clinton winning the presidency would have destroyed western civilization.
This guy latched on to one point from his argument about him because he is insecure
i hate how far molyneux takes everything because he's actually a good talker. so much better at keeping your attention than most other youtubers like him. if he was a bit less nutty, i could definitely see myself tuning in to hear his points every now and then

he seems unhinged but i gotta give him props, i don't ever sit through a 43 minute video of somebody i don't like but I did with this one
Not an argument
I enjoy some of Stefan videos but I don't think I've ever lost so much respect for someone in such a fast time, he literally proves the guys point
Fucking Christ, I don't know if I should laugh or cringe
He prides himself on the fact he's got the largest philosophy channel on the net, yet still hasn't picked up the fact people don't give a FUCK about you're background or shit they're going to give their opinion and you're going to have to listen to them eventually, good job discrediting your self and showing you can't take simple criticism such as "Try be more respectful of the other persons positions"
I think I read it in an Alan Watts book or lecture, but he says you should always be thankful of someone having different opinions because had they not had those opinions in the first place how would you know that you have different opinions, if their stance didn't exist would yours? Yin and Yang nigguh
The comments are actually really good for once. They're all basically calling him out on his bullshit.
stefan's a class act
