Former "Playmate" speaks up about 9 month affair with Trump, and how she was silenced
A woman who had an alleged nine-month sexual relationship with Donald Trump more than a decade ago, is speaking on the record for the first time about signing a document from an apparent Trump media ally that effectively silenced her story.
Karen McDougal told reporter Ronan Farrow in a piece published Friday in The New Yorker that she regretted signing the contract with American Media Inc., National Enquirer's parent company.
"At this point I feel I can't talk about anything without getting into trouble," McDougal told Farrow. "I'm afraid to even mention his name."
Farrow reports, "On August 5, 2016, McDougal signed a limited life-story rights agreement granting A.M.I. exclusive ownership of her account of any romantic, personal, or physical relationship she has ever had with any 'then-married man.'"
The Wall Street Journal first reported on the agreement in 2016, saying A.M.I., whose C.E.O and chairman, David Pecker, has called Trump "a personal friend," paid McDougal $150,000 for the rights to her story.

The relationship was reportedly sparked after McDougal and Trump met at the Playboy Mansion in 2006, while he was married to Melania Trump and their son, Barron, was a baby.
Trump also reportedly used incendiary racial language during his interactions with McDougal.
In a statement to The New Yorker, a White House spokesperson said Trump denied the affair:
"This is an old story that is just more fake news. The President says he never had a relationship with McDougal."
McDougal told Farrow she is a Republican and had hesitated to tell her story, "because she feared that other Trump supporters might accuse her of fabricating it, or might even harm her or her family. "

McDougal, 46, claims Trump once offered to pay her after they had sex in a private bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where many of their purported liaisons took place. She alleges Trump tried to avoid creating a record that might expose their relationship by having her pay for her own flights and then reimbursing her.
A White House spokesperson said Trump denied having an affair with McDougal: “This is an old story that is just more fake news. The President says he never had a relationship with McDougal.”
McDougal confirmed to The New Yorker a Wall Street Journal report that said American Media Inc., the publisher of the National Enquirer, agreed to pay her $150,000 for her story but then did not publish it.
David Pecker, the CEO and chairman of AMI, is a Trump supporter who has reportedly described the president as a “personal friend.” Six former AMI employees told The New Yorker that Pecker often purchases a story in order to bury it — a tabloid industry practice called “catch and kill.”
The same "private bungalow" that multiple other women have spoken of, including Stormy Daniels, makes another appearance, as does another concerted attempt to silence the women Trump had affairs with by Trump-connected individuals. Trump has cheated on Melania for as long as they have been married, bringing women back to his private room, making them pay for their expenses to leave no paper trail, and then paying them huge sums of money and forcing them into binding legal agreements to keep them silent on the matter.
Oh, also, Trump's a racist. Shocker, I know.
Melania, please file for divorce. For your own good and for our amusement.

I think it'd be pretty fucking poetic if Melania, sick of the shame and degradation she suffers as a result of her husband, were to contact the FBI, and sink Trump and his co-conspirators with her testimony.

I can already see the potential headlines.
"Hell hath no fury..."
Or rather: "Mueller hath no fury like Melania scorned."

The thing is, if any of these allegations are true I don't think it's very plausible that she didn't know about at least some of Trump's pussy grabbing. These probably aren't any groundbreaking revelations for her. If she hasn't divorced him yet I doubt she ever will.

I wonder if it's very or only somewhat insensitive of me to say that a trophy wife gold digger doesn't really give much of a shit about her husband's bedroom habits.

I doubt she cares. She's young, he is old and rich.
It's not hard to see why she is with him and my bet is on it not being love or sex.

Every possibility that you're completely right, but it's not unbelievable that she would divorce him now even if she did know about his infidelity before. Personally, it's something that she may have been able to bear, since she probably hated her husband's guts anyway (who could love him?). Now, with it all laid bare in front of the entire world, her shame is on public display. What she might personally have been willing to endure when this was all just a poorly kept secret may change now that it's being overtly discussed and reported on by the entire country. They were already sleeping in separate bedrooms -- after the Stormy Daniels story broke she even went and stayed in a hotel. It's clear she feels some shame and outrage about this.
That said, I do believe that she'll just stick it out. I hope that she doesn't, though, because she has every reason not to, and because her testimony could be huge for Mueller's investigation, depending on what she knows.

I'd imagine there's also some level of difference between you knowing your partner cheated but you're staying together, against everyone knowing your partner cheated.

Yeah, you're more than likely right on that. It'd be poetic justice, and is completely within the realm of possibility, but it's definitely not something I'm betting on.

I'm certain she knows. It comes with the territory. The question is whether it being on public display changes anything for her.
the trump bimbo squad
"Every married man has his moments of vulnerabilities. No one is perfect and that's why Trump is such a real person. I'm sure we've all had thoughts on doing this as well."
Is how I imagine people defending this.
This would spell disaster for any other president ever. I feel like it means nothing for Trump, it's like people just don't give a fuck anymore.
Melania, please file for divorce. For your own good and for our amusement.
Why would she divorce him? She has immense wealth and influence because of their marriage. It's not one of love, but of benefit.

Lying about a blowjob was enough for Republicans to throw out Bill Clinton but Trump can apparently do anything.

Specifically Clinton got the boot for Perjury and Obstruction of Justice. He was under oath when he told his lies. Trump can blather about shit all he wants but should there come a day where the current investigation takes him in for questioning under oath, his inevitable lies would surely be unraveled.

As much as I don't want to defend Trump, what he did a decade ago is very different from something that occurred while he was president, using his influence over a subordinate, and then lied about.
It's so strange that Trump appeals to Americans who firmly believe in traditional values yet his entire marriage is basically just a sugar daddy arrangement
It's so strange that Trump appeals to Americans who firmly believe in traditional values yet his entire marriage is basically just a sugar daddy arrangement
They don't care about family values at all.
They're deluded into thinking they have "family values" when in reality they're just desperately trying to justify the seething sense of moral superiority they feel over liberals.
Imagine if Obama cheated on his wife and paid people to have sex with him. Where is the party of family values now?
Family values don't matter when you finally won and are in charge.
They're probably putting cigarettes out on Bibles and eating out hookers as we speak.

Trump did lie about this though, so there is that.
I still don't fucking get how someone could stand to let something so repulsive put its dick in you.

It's like a minute of a half of gross, sweaty grunting and huffing while getting lightly prodded by the eraser-end of a pencil; then $150.000. I ain't saying I'd do it, but I'd consider.

Though he wasn't president at the time, Trump certainly has a history of using his powerful position to sexually exploit women. Just listen to the Access Hollywood tape and it's pretty clear. And here he is, accused of having extramarital affairs and paying hush money to keep the women quiet about it.
It's so strange that Trump appeals to Americans who firmly believe in traditional values yet his entire marriage is basically just a sugar daddy arrangement
"Family values" is the politically correct term for being against stuff like gay marriage.
They really don't care about values at all so long as the family in question has two white parents of the opposite gender.

The scariest thing about this is that he's letting competent scumbags know just how much they can actually get away with. He is obliterating the accountability and integrity of the office.

Really makes you think what would happen if Trump was as intelligent as Nixon.
