Oh man, some of those were pretty exploitable.
I also go to the skate park to play videogames with everyone there
I can't imagine the Joycons to be that precise, for 12 Switch. But if they really are that precise then the game does look more interesting to me. Rest of the spot was good, it focused on everything you need. Even though some scenes were kinda... uh.. fantasy. Can't wait to annoy the shit out of other people by playing 1 2 Switch in a cafe.
This commercial ad reminds me something.

As long as the hardware in the joycons is just as good I don't think they should have any issues
I think the best part of this ad (and by far the most realistic) was the college professor. I mean, how else would you react if you're about to start class, and there's like 8 people in the center of the lecture room having a splat orgy?

Plus the way they all jumped when the lecturer walked in was really out of character too, that's more high school than college. Realism of that particular scene aside, despite me undoubtedly never use the Switch like this but Nintendo are really doing a good job making this system look smooth and fun in the ads whilst still getting across information about how we can use it.
I'm glad they acknowledge the fact that people will be playing their Switch on the shitter
That guy taking a shit. Nintendo knows whats up.
Are joycons waterproof? Got real nervous when the dude fell in the pool.
Are joycons waterproof? Got real nervous when the dude fell in the pool.
Not that I know of so that guy is fucked. It's going to be like 80 bucks to replace it.
Can't wait to virtually shave my face. Not like I do that every other week.

not a bad ad but i just cant see two people playing on the same system like the mario kart footage, thatd kill my eyes after like 15 minutes
Does the Switch come with the shown parallel universe which solely consists of young, attractive people with lots of friends?
Does the Switch come with the shown parallel universe which solely consists of young, attractive people with lots of friends?
That is sold seperately
Does the Switch come with the shown parallel universe which solely consists of young, attractive people with lots of friends?
Yeah, it's the same one where TVs automatically, and instantly, turn off when the connected device is disconnected.
Does the Switch come with the shown parallel universe which solely consists of young, attractive people with lots of friends?
It's footage from the Berenstein Bears universe where Bernie Sanders was also elected president.
Yeah, it's the same one where TVs automatically, and instantly, turn off when the connected device is disconnected.
I haven't owned a TV for more than 10 years but do universal remotes still exist for modern TVs? If so, the Switch could really have this feature if there is a common signal for turning it on and off.
When you think party games can't get any worse but nintendo figures out a way

I suspect they'll still experience drift, but in my experience you don't have to reset that that often and it's only an issue if you need absolute rotation around the vertical axis. My phone has an IR blaster and I can program it to turn off a TV in under a minute via a signal database, though. In any case, I highly doubt they'll have that feature if it has to be implemented that way. Isn't there a way to control screen power state via HDMI anyway?
I feel like ultimately, none of these gimmicks are going to be used, and people are just going to leave their switch docked, and play games with a pro controller.
I feel like ultimately, none of these gimmicks are going to be used, and people are just going to leave their switch docked, and play games with a pro controller.
I think it will fail as a home console once big titles like Red Dead Redemption, Battlefront 2, Next Elder Scrolls games start releasing and there is no Switch port. But I think it will find success as a handheld once all the indies start releasing their stuff on it. I expect a New New Switch XL being sold without a dock, but with a better battery. It's weird, Nintendo markets it as a home console first where it is the least impressive option on the market, and on the other hand it is the most powerful handheld, but that fact isn't even used in the marketing.
I feel like ultimately, none of these gimmicks are going to be used, and people are just going to leave their switch docked, and play games with a pro controller.
yeah sure, people who like playing games traditionally, yeah. but that's not everyone. the thing that's cool about the switch isn't that it has all these gimmicks, but moreso that you aren't force to use the gimmicks sans 1/2 switch. i personally am excited for the idea that i can have my hands relaxed and play games with my arms to the side with the two joycons. the joycons look pretty comfortable with that situation, or with the included grip. i loved playing super mario galaxy with my arms not so close together, and the spin move that mario does is still one of my favorite mechanics because it uses the motion controls in a way that immerses you in the game, and yet still keeps a very traditional character movement setup.
