It killed my dad. (Granted, after several years of abuse), first changing the person he were, making him a horrible dad, negligent and emotionally abusive, causing a lot of bullying of me in school due to his behaviour ultimately meaning I have no childhood friends left. then this september.. killed him for real :/ (that and alcohol).
It may not be as immediatly addicting as alcohol or other drugs. but it'll kill you.
if not physically, it will kill the person you were before you started smoking. it changes you :/
I've lost several friends whom changed completely when they started smoking, and became a completely different, unpleasant person.
So to sum it up: It really annoys me when people say weed isn't dangerous.
I don't think you should blame weed for making your father terrible, it was your father's fault. All weed does is make you sleepy and dopey, and that shouldn't be enough to turn someone into an abusive neglectful person.
i will be your new dad
(that and alcohol)
Most important part of the OP
everyone, kindly note the OP also mentions alcohol.
weed isn't the culprit here. yes, maybe it contributed, but trying to blame the entirety of your father's abuse and death on it is foolish.
I've been an alcoholic, ask anyone I know about those days and they'll say I was the biggest asshole on the island. I've toked with my dad and have had awesome times with him traveling across Canada, smoking J's along the way.
I also informed my mom that most, if not all, deep and personal conversations have been after I blazed a few bowls in my pipe. But not before I informed her of the medical benefits and how those Above the Influence things are bullshit.
blaming the substance is fucking pathetic. I know its hard to admit it but you just had a bad father. In any case where someone chooses a substance over their family shows that they dont know their priorities and only think about themselves. I have family that deals with an alcoholic and as nice as he is sober (not even all that nice to be honest) he gets ridiculous when drunk and i can say the same about another family member who is a terrible dad that smokes way too much weed (in the sense that it affects his parenting, which is totally fucked up). In the end its the person doing the drug over the family and thats where the problem starts. I feel sorry for you, and its a damn shame when people are ignored and abused by their parents, but there are deeper problems than your dad smoking weed.
That's right, blame it on the drug.
Pathetic.
You just had a shitty dad, face it.

probably better take this information to a hospital, because your dad just made history in being the first marijuana causality.
except they'd laugh you out of their offices when they read this.
kind of a harsh way to put it but you're right.
Someone has to do it.
kind of a harsh way to put it but you're right.
i put it the nice way, Mac puts it his way.
Its easy to blame something you dont understand, like parents do with violent videogames.
Pretty much what everyone else said.
What are your sources Danish? Propaganda education like DARE and your father being a dumbass?
I've lost several friends whom changed completely when they started smoking, and became a completely different, unpleasant person.

How exactly did they change, might I ask? What made them unpleasant?
How exactly did they change, might I ask? What made them unpleasant?
i bet you they smoked because they thought it would make them "cool". God i hated those people in high school, such tools.

In that case they were already tools and the weed didn't change them at all.
"it'll kill you"
Wow shut up, just because of this sentence I can't take you seriously.
Alcohol.
If anything I'd say the weed slowed down the process of your dad turning into an asshole (possibly because of the drink, possibly because he was an asshole.) Why would smoking weed make you an unpleasant person?
My parents have been absolute stoners since the age of 16/17 and I fucking love them.
I understand the becoming careless aspect because it can have that effect....but hang out with a bunch of old guys smoking weed...all they wanna do is laugh and have fun....alcohol brings on the aggressiveness especially if it's abused
i disagree
also the poll is stupid. i'm well informed that weed is dangerous, i just have my very own stubborn definition of dangerous and smoking weed doesn't fall under that definition.
breathing outside is dangerous, people drive cars which poison the air near roads. are you informed on the dangers of walking near active roads?
