Pyongyang has put its forces put on high alert after U.S. warships entered the South Korean port of Busan in preparation for a joint military exercise with Seoul and Tokyo.
On Monday Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Pyongyang regime, called the exercise a “bellicose attempt to escalate the situation on the Korean Peninsula […] by openly threatening it with nukes,” referring to the presence of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. (The U.S. has a policy of neither confirming nor denying whether its ships are equipped with nuclear armaments.)
A North Korean military spokesman said that the U.S. would be “wholly accountable for the unexpected horrible disaster” that faced its “imperialist aggression forces.”
the horrible disaster of unholy photoshopping of the supreme leader
Oooo, a horrible disaster? Sounds pretty detailed, I hope they're not referring to themselves if they do try something. Oh who am I kidding, the horrible disaster here is how North Korea will end up fucked if they try anything to the US-SK-Japan
Get in position and wait for my go.
The real horrible disaster happened when North Korea came into existence.
What are you going to do NK? raise the price of tickets for your theme park?
Watch out, they might throw their men at your ships
literally
I remember being somewhat naive in the military world and being scared of NK's threats.
holy shit man that was such a long time ago.
WE'RE GONNA DO IT.
WEEEEE MEAN IT.
I'M TELLING YOU.
How they word things is hilarious.
Empty North Korean threat #5483

not quite sure if they broadcast in english, a lot of things come out weird during translations.
This actually reminds me of what our tour guide said on the coach to the DMZ said on my recent trip to South Korea
"Why aren't the South Korean people afraid of something happening from North Korea? Well think of North Korea as a bully who has been threatening you for years and years. Would you still be afraid of a bully who has done nothing but threaten you over all of those years?"
Horribu Dishwasher

Sad is That this number is probably accurate
Oh my god I'm so scared
I have literally never heard this exact terminology before
RIP Earth prepare for nuclear war
Mike Birbiglia had a joke about rappers being angry at just small things, and how no one will believe them when they get mad at real stuff
NK embodied that joke when they said it was a human rights violation because someone wouldn't sell them cable cars, and now that's all I think of

How did that go again? "It's 2009, motherfucker!"
So for North Korea it'd be "It's ski lifts, motherfucker!"
Does this mean we'll be getting daily NK threats again? I missed that.
I don't understand what's wrong with their coarse of action here, enemy fleets are near their coast. The US and it's allies have given the DPRK lots of empty threats too. Let's face it: no one wants a war. The US and China both have an interest in keeping conflict going their for further profits, the DPRK would get crushed, the ROK would have plenty of casualties and both sides would have to deal with chaos and countless refugees. This just a proxy cold war.

Profits? Everyone, read even China and Russia, have gotten tired of NK's shit. They just keep making these empty threads to get more help for their people (And there is a very small chance that said help will reach it's intended targets), and of course so that they can keep being revelant in the world scene.
Of course they feel threatened. Should shit actually hit the fan, NK will become the world's biggest parking lot in a single night. But they believe, or at least insist, that they keep fighting a cold war against the imperialistic rest of the world. Truth is, everyone is just "oh, is just NK being an idiot as usual" and move on.
Too bad there's no Rayhalo here to refute these imperialist lies.
Another article about NK freaking out of a routine naval exercise by the US and SK. Shocker
I like how North Korea constantly blames the US/South Korea for trying to escalate tensions on the peninsula.
While they threaten to wipe out South Korea on a daily basis with nuclear weaponry.
