In the case of Deus Ex: The Fall, however, Square Enix Europe filed both the trademark and the domain registrations. Square Enix hasn't announced a sequel to Human Revolution, while developer Eidos Montreal, who unveiled the Thief reboot this week, is working on an unannounced third project alongside the Deus Ex and Thief franchises.
http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/06/deus-ex-the-fall-trademarked-while-human-defiance-points-towar/ Should be good! I'm loving all this DE news.
Just got around to playing Human Revolution at it was on sale a week or so ago. Played the first one but it wasn't one of my favorites. Then I play HR and wow. God damn that was an amazing game and I'm more than happy to see any news on the series.
HR was amazing. Best game I've played in a while. [sp]I love how the endings are meaningful, if shortlived. Especially the serif ending, with the augmented developing baby...[/sp]

I mean, I get that it's supposed to highlight the unimportance of Jenson in the grand scheme of it, and how it's more about the culmination that causes the first game to happen, but still. I would've liked to see some detail on what happens to Reed, or Malik if you manage to save her, and all the little other endings. I know it's supposed to be up to our imagination to decipher what happens and paint our own ending, but it just isn't as satisfying when it leaves you with so very little information. The endings were the weakest part of the game, the bosses being the only other. I will admit, I chose the Sarif ending even if the canon one is the explosion; it just felt right and the real only other alternative was the default "reveal the truth." Impossible to side with the Illuminati after playing Dues Ex.[/sp] Good game, go out and play the fuck out of it. I hope to hell they don't butcher it.
I hope the the title isn't a bad omen.
Please be invisible war part II

I just hope they don't outsource the boss fights like HR because they we're the worst part of the game in my opinion.
that title makes me want to fall on a rusty nail
I just hope they don't outsource the boss fights like HR because they we're the worst part of the game in my opinion.
They admitted that the boss fights were the lowest part of the game too.
Lapikas admits that the team recognized the boss fights as problematic, but not too much so. Or so they thought. He confesses that he is “truly sorry” about the way things turned out, before promising that special attention will be paid this component in any future Deus Ex games.
http://www.dualshockers.com/2012/03/07/deus-ex-gameplay-director-apologizes-for-crappy-boss-fights/
Please be invisible war part II
Invisible War ended pretty conclusively. Would be really hard to make a sequel that actually made sense.
yeah like the boss fights remindeded me that i haven't played late 90's games enough it's a good game but the boss fights weren't fun like at all
As a non-lethal stealth character I had to lug around an RPG to deal with a few of the bosses...
the boss fights could have been great, all they needed was a way both non lethal and stealth characters could beat them. seriously, how hard would it have been to add those options?
the boss fights could have been great, all they needed was a way both non lethal and stealth characters could beat them. seriously, how hard would it have been to add those options?
When you outsource it to a company who didn't know those were options, it can be pretty bad.
As a non-lethal stealth character I had to lug around an RPG to deal with a few of the bosses...
Yeah, it's kinda ridiculous. I've found that the revolver and a few HE grenades work well as well.
I didn't even bother trying to fight the bosses fairly. I just carried an assload of grenades on my stealth character. They all died a few seconds into the fight.

I took I think every mine template in the game, and stored up most if not all of the enemy mines. Bosses were veeery easy. And if I recall correctly, all you had to do against the last boss was unplugging women and then grenade the chinese oldie. [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] Yeah as the person above me said.
Wait, The Fall and Human Defiance? They're either thinking way ahead or one of these is a movie.
