I once got beaten up by a group of angry Yugoslavians. I was really drunk, but still managed to land one punch which did absolutely nothing. All in all, it was a pretty emasculating experience.

I punched a guy in high school once. I wasn't planning to, it was a sudden instinctual reaction from him twisting my other arm too much. We both apologized to each other, but we still had to go to the Head of Discipline because "there was a fight!"
We both had already apologized, and we didn't want to get in trouble, so we passed it off as a slap.
And honestly, him blushing would probably make his cheeks redder compared to when I hit him.

I've got crappy joints and instability, just had surgery because it was such a problem in my shoulder.
I know I'd do shit in a fight and I've thought about learning some stuff, but I doubt I'm going to actually get into that many fights, because I'm not an asshole.
I once got in a fight with a guy in high school. He spit at me so I spit back at him while he was walking towards me. He was about 2 meters away from me and I managed to spit in his mouth from that distance. He just stood there slowly realizing what just happened and ran away.
I think I won that fight. Not the most heroic way to win a fight but still a win.
Technically this title makes no sense at all. It should be something like "Average male thinks he's 4000% more effective than he really is". That way he'd think he had a relative power of 41 that was actually 1. The way they wrote the title would imply that the avarage male thinks he's 1 but is actually -39. But then the onion has always been bad with numbers.
So I am even more ineffective as I think?

I weigh about 115-118lbs and definitely would get knocked on my ass. I have before in school, even though I got him first by breaking his nose but I left with a black eye. That was a draw. Since then, I just know I can't fight so I try to avoid conflict unless it'll directly impact my well-being. (i.e Being robbed, jumped, etc)
The bust lip I got last night can testify to this
Does this mean that if you meet an average male in hand to hand combat, you're both equally bad at fighting? How would that go?

Uhhh, it's a percentage. Obviously, it's not actually a statistical measurement, but if the guy thought he could knock a man out in, say, one punch, it would actually take him 40 punches. 4000% less is 40 times less. It's not saying 40 'effectiveness points' less.
