I've never seen him this angry. That said, I'm not surprised; from the very first trailer, the movie looked like it was going to be a complete antithesis to everything that made Wreck-It Ralph great. It's a shame, because the visual effects look amazing and the concept of movie seemed to hold a lot of promise - but even then, said concept was already done long ago in an old episode of Futurama anyway (and I don't even like Futurama that much.)
I remember seeing a trailer for this when I went to see Inside Out and I'm legitimately upset that this is an Adam Sandler movie. The effects are awesome and I was pretty hyped until I saw Adam Sandler and Kevin James because I like this concept, I like the visual style but it's ruined by these two assclowns.
On another note, funny how Moviebob complains about pop culture references when you can make a drinking game out of him directly referencing other movies in this review alone.
i'll wait for the inevitable redlettermedia review

Side note: I'm not too hot on MovieBob either because of that whole debate (which we shall not get into here), but I generally trust his taste in movies and I know that he's at least well-versed enough in gaming (particularly Nintendo stuff) to know when something's actually being sincere about the medium, even if I don't always agree with his opinions on the industry.
No joke about the whole 'pride of manchester NH' thing either, everyone up here loves sandler it seems just cause he's local blood.

I expect it to be about two minutes long with them drinking, then looking at the camera and shrugging like we already know what they're going to say and then cut to black.
To me the saddest thing about this movie is that it came out less than two weeks after Iwata's passing, I know it's just a coincidence but it feels like Sandler's taking a dump on the man's grave before the coffin's even been covered.

I don't. This guy calls himself a feminist while giving fucking Sucker Punch a recommendation in a review I can only describe as hilariously misguided.
Or the fact that he talked down to critics of Metroid Other M and its complete butchering of her character.
Remember when Pixels was just a short video on youtube? Should've stayed that way.

Well, that's why I said "generally." When his personal biases aren't getting in the way of things.

I expect Rich and Jack doing some over the top indepth analysis/trivia thing that spirals out of control

that sounds a lot like me talking about video games
Isn't this the guy who called Deus Ex a "robot-punching game" when he got offended over the devs using the term "mechanical apartheid" correctly?
At this rate I give it two years at most before Adam Sandler releases a movie that's literally just two hours of him taking a shit filmed from inside a toilet in some hotel he wanted to stay at.
Ew, movie bob.

Who's movie bob? This is the first time I've heard about him

He used to do movie reviews for the Escapist, but he's also big on gaming. A lot of people don't like him because of his rather cringeworthy Game Overthinker series and where he lies on the whole social justice issue. He's also very opinionated when it comes to superhero comics.
He can be pretty smart at times, but a lot of other times he comes across as a self-absorbed sadsack (like his book, which is ostensibly about SMB3 but... yech.) Like Yahtzee, as long as you keep away from stuff you know he already he's already biased on, he's pretty good.
He is also a very disturbed man who believes he has a personal connection with Mario, and wrote a book about it, who needs to seek professional help.

That's sort of an understatement.
The guy fucking outright said that doxxing and death threats against gamergaters were justified.
waiting for RLM to tear it apart

Again, I ask that we not get into GG or his other misadventures here. I'm aware of what he's done, but I kept it vague so as to not derail the topic.
What happened to Adam Sandler... He's so hit and miss now. He can still do a solid good movie if he wants to, but he just... Doesn't
it's funny how obvious the "inspirations" for this movie are, it's basically this is the end meets wreck it ralph

you mean miss and miss?

And one of Futurama episodes... Just from the trailer you could say exactly how much original thought went into this. Well fuck the trailer, from the poster.
That said, I think I'll skip moviebob and wait for Half in the Bag.
What I don't get is why the movie is called Pixels, when the models are clearly made of voxels?
[sp]not like sandler would know anything about that[/sp]

Because he figured out that he actually makes more money by not trying than by trying.
