Soundcloud is a great way for musicians to share and comment on eachother's tracks, and I know that most of you already know what it is and are already using it so I figured I'd make a thread where we can all exchange soundcloud usernames, so post your soundcloud link and maybe a description of the stuff you generally like to produce! http://www.soundcloud.com/sonis is me if you're interested in following :) I produce all kinds of electronic dance music. I've been on a bit of a dubstep tip lately, but that's definitely not all I do. I've also gone ahead and made a Facepunch group on soundcloud which can be found right here: http://soundcloud.com/groups/facepunch-producers
Screwing around with aux input on my keyboard, spazzed out at the end. :v:
Hi, my alias on SoundCloud is Does Not Compute, and I make electronic music, mainly dubstep and drum and bass. My soundcloud is quite out-dated and I have improved since I last uploaded a track, however I feel my tracks on there are pretty decent. For the record, "Ambient" is the first track I made on fruity loops. http://soundcloud.com/doesnotcompute
http://www.soundcloud.com/renin I make everything from house and dubstep to acoustic guitar and vocal pieces. A lot more to come in the near future.
www.soundcloud.com/geogzm only bullshit on mine, you have been warned
I have a soundcloud page for Starpath - my chiptune projects. Have a look-see!
everyone is making dubstep, is it really easy to do or something
it's for the people that don't (know how to) play instruments
everyone is making dubstep, is it really easy to do or something
Easy to do well? No. It's popular right now so a lot of people that are just getting in to music production are making dubstep, and a lot of people that have been in to music production are playing around with it.
it's for the people that don't (know how to) play instruments
Playing an instrument isn't a prerequisite to writing music. I don't play anything, and I make dubstep, but I also write things like this: http://sonisdnb.com/a-saturday-trip3.mp3 It's absolutely moronic to think that just because you don't like a style of music that no skill or knowledge is involved in writing it.
Here's mine: http://soundcloud.com/neurario I do mashups and stuff (you may remember my very old thread about it), but nowadays I mostly post my music on a site called the Layabouts (no not the band). Still, here's a mashup from Soundcloud I'm particularly proud of, with Pendulum and the Katamari Damacy theme.
http://soundcloud.com/aurastorm jungle dnb hip hip hooray
http://soundcloud.com/chaz13 Mostly drum and bass, some house, and I'm currently working on some hip hop beats.
http://soundcloud.com/mr-own Yo. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
Screwing around with aux input on my keyboard, spazzed out at the end. :v:
Your soundcloud avatar is making me oh god unnf :gizz:

http://soundcloud.com/pepin I think I do mostly rock. My SoundCloud is more for WIPs at the moment. My more finished stuff can be found on my bandcamp. http://pepin.bandcamp.com/
http://soundcloud.com/kabstract
http://soundcloud.com/tbyrne4 Mainly for ideas. Not much on it yet because I'm lazy
http://soundcloud.com/gnohm
http://soundcloud.com/procedr Some electronic stuff. Mostly WIPs I guess... (Even if I most likely not going to complete them all)

Nope.
Lots of people making shit dubstep = good producers getting noticed? Nope.
Yeah that's not at all what I said. If you're going to try to be a smart ass work on your reading and comprehension first ;)
Sorry, this track is too hot for us! Oh, damn! We couldn't create the waveform for your track. We're checking it right now and will try to fix it asap!
:smith: [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Retry.. :crying: [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] SUCCESS! /c This isn't anything special, more of a test of the recording on my PC. and I wish I could say I recorded the drums but nope. Loops. The second half kinda fell apart but whatever.
http://soundcloud.com/snake31 I generally work on trance type stuff, though I recently completely switched over to ambient styled endeavors.
I use reason 5 + Record 1.5 I have most experience with Trance but I'm kind of sick of the whole genre. Now I'm more into old ish electronic music. Especially Amiga tracker music and shit like 70's inspired stuff I don't make music that often as I used to, but I like to mess around with Reason and make patches

I really studied your patches that you had in your dropbox, and I've really made a huge leap as far as production value goes. I never really had to chance to tell you that, but I thought you should know. Oh, and so you're not as confused, I am Snake31 (main account, got hacked & permabanned). We were going to collab on a trance track, but it fell through.
also, chipetune:
I would have to say that as of late, you've been my big inspiration and push towards my more professional sound. I believe you're still on my Steam friends. I'll send you a message some time when I get Reason 5, I just have to save up for it. I've been wanting it since it was announced.
http://soundcloud.com/jrfhardstyle Mostly Hardstyle with some Electro House.
