This is really messed up that Youtube did this.
Jesus fucking Christ.

It was only a matter of time until YouTube started censoring its own media. Can't possibly allow people to be informed by facts you know.
Whoa what the fuck.
I remember watching him back in the day, last i checked he was super big, Youtube what are you doing.
Been a while since I've seen Phil, I'm shocked YT is even targeting him. If they're hitting people with "offensive content" and "swearing" then this will get big fast once it spreads to other YTers.
That's pretty concerning, those guidelines are vague enough to apply to a lot of channels.
Not surprised, wonder if Alphabet started getting told by the partner companies and advertising agencies to fix their shit.

The sheer amount of channels these vague guidelines can apply to is staggering.
So they're banning swearing on youtube? When did youtube decide everything had to be family friendly?
Welp, I'd expect channels like iDubbbz and Filthy Frank to get hit too if fucking Philip DeFranco is getting hit with this
Youtube shooting its self in the foot again
Is it that time of the year where YouTube does some dumb shit and back-peddles when the community calls them out?
If it's the swearing, would PewDiePie be affected? Last i checked he was literally the most popular/subbed to channel on YouTube. Anyways, this is an EXTREMELY dumb decision if it really is what it seems to be.
I wonder if this has something to do with youtube backstage they are rumored to be implementing where uses can share photos, polls, links, and text post to subscribers.
Gonna add on to my other post. I can understand if advertisers wouldn't like their product being associated with channels or videos who talk about "offensive content" or those who cuss like a sailor. But that's what makes YouTube what it is, the freedom to express yourself by your content. And with the amount of content creators who treat YT like a job, and will be in violation of these guidelines causing them to lose ad revenue, this will cause commotion. I hope this is just a flaw or something cause this is a big leap for YT to make with the direction they want to go.
YT needs to fucking die
hopefully by their own hand
or their algorithms'

edups tweeted about this, only a few videos of his were hit and they all had either "nigger" or "pussy" in the tags.
"YO FUCK YOUR FREE SPEECH"
This pisses me off to no end because Youtube strike down small youtube channels for minor incidents and other ridiculous bullshit. But even they are going after this guy.
This is fucking hypocritical because of all the cancerous Prank videos and all that horrendous garbage. Half that shit you see on those prank channels would be considered rape if it wasnt acted.
What does YT think they'll accomplish with these new guidelines? There are some* cases where shows on TV would even break these new rules.
*a lot

But those channels bring in the big bucks so its ok.

Anyone else remember when they had those things similar to the TV ratings that paused playback for 5 seconds or so at the beginning??
Youtube needs to be made a trigger free safespace to please the advertising overlords. Southpark had an episode or two something along these lines.
If I recall, Google has always had this family friendly no evils shall be present on your site policy with AdSense for a long time now. My guess being is that they want to enforce this across YouTube now.
Also this'll be funny if Prank Invasion and many other terrible prank channels continue to operate as normal while someone like pewds or mark will get slammed for winking in a video as thats apparently "sexually suggestive" and therefore "offense".
And all this happened cause he talked about a girl being a complete fool to a taxi driver.
how about they start shutting down actual shtty channels instead
coughleafyisherecoughcough
So what happens to LP community where their vocabulary is 95% f-bombs.
It's time for a YouTube exodus. Heck, it's been time for a few years.

...to where?
here, http://www.dailymotion.com/us
It would be easier to get them to fix daily motion to be how youtubers want it to be than youtube to fix it and keep where they were.
Surely somebody has an alternative to YouTube? Why is there zero competition? I really don't understand. I would be willing to switch sites, YouTube sucks for users and it sucks for producers, so what is stopping somebody from doing things right?

DailyMotion just seems like such a half-assed messy website honestly.

there are some, but its like being an alternative to facebook. its going to be extremely hard to get people to go there, especially content creators, when they get a good amount of money through youtube as it stands now, even with all the shit they're doing.
