I think that's the most badass-looking Down syndrome person I've ever seen.
Serious question here. Do people with downs have sex? Like, do they understand the concept? Alright, maybe I should elaborate because I wasn't pining for funnies/boxes or anything. It was an honest curiosity because two adults living in a house together, that stuff happens. My understanding of downs is that your brain is at a sort of child level state of development, so I don't know if things like intimacy and reproduction is something that they understand or deal with at any point. I'm not trying to be a dweeb about it I was honestly just curious. [sp]THE INTERNET SHOULD BE A SAFE SPACE FOR ASKING QUESTIONS[/sp]

I used to work with a guy who has down syndrome, he was one of the most genuine people I had ever met. Because of his condition he had a hard time making friends, it was really sad to see because I could tell he wanted good friends really bad but because he had only had a few his interactions with people came off a little weird. He tried to fake being "normal" to impress people. I talked with him quite a bit and told him it is unnecessary to put on an act to make people like you, 3 months later he had himself a group of friends. 7 months after that he built up the courage to talk to a girl and last I heard he got married. At age 35 though I heard his health is declining already and I hear he is going through some pretty life threatening problems. As much as it breaks my heart to say, he most likely be around much longer but I am just grateful I was able to make a change in his life so he could live whatever he has left happy. I got a card from him on my birthday last June (I only ever told him once and he remembered) thanking me for all my advice. This video just reminded me of him.

I've heard that people with Downs Syndrome actually have a higher sexual drive than people without it.
That was the sweetest thing I've seen all week.

I remember seeing a video somewhere of a family taking their downs syndrome kid (adult by then) to Amsterdam to get sex or something.
