They're supposed to be more mature then students....they certainly as hell don't act like it...same goes for students...but in the end the teacher is supposed to be the better person

Yeah but you don't understand, teachers aren't supposed to be seen as better or superior to students, they constantly try to make them on the same level as kids, so the kids can relate.
That's usually why teachers bend over when talking to younger students, because having someone tower over you to frightening. Or why teachers usually wear non-formal clothes.
Students feel they are on a similar level of respect, so they relate more, pay attention more, and ultimately learn more.

In 2nd grade I had a teacher make me stand on a single floor-tile for the entire duration of Land Before Time 2
but never been called a loser. that's pretty fucked
I'm pretty sure marking someone down for reasons that have nothing to do with the work they produced is not only a bad way of relating to the students, but damages their self esteem by having a figure of authority label them as a loser.

Because Europeans turned the land into shit.
Even if Europeans raped natives with disease, it just makes them superior in a military perspective, natives didn't cause mass wild life extinction, or clearcut entire forests.
Natives also used to be able to live off the land. If I took an average group of sedentary facepunch users and put them in the wild, they would starve to death.
I'm not a hippy bitch, but being able to live off the land, and live with nature counts for something.

The same teacher I mentioned before also made kids lick the floor as punishment. He threw chalk at us sometimes too. He was rather unusual and his methods didn't always make much sense.
