India Launches First Locally-Built Nuclear Submarine

"We do not have any aggressive designs, nor do we seek to threaten anyone. We seek an external environment in our region and beyond that is conducive to our peaceful development and the protection of our value systems," Singh said.

Please remember that this is their first submarine that has a Nuclear ENGINE, they've had conventional subs that can fire nuclear missiles for about as long as they've had nuclear missiles.

I think so, I also think they were able to be towed and or sail under their own power back into their ports
