I find that hard to believe seeing as how carmack is one of the forefathers of game engine development, intensely involved with computer science, and a huge fan of computers in general. I feel like if he wanted to delete shit, he would know how to do it properly, not by googling something that sounds like a smear against Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

It was on a Mac. He admitted to not being much of a Mac person. I'd google for a quick and common solution too.
