• Starting a Let's Watch-Styled Series Soon, Would Like Suggestions of Cartoons
    57 replies, posted
I was thinking about starting up a series on Youtube where I watch, review, and summarize cartoon shows. I love cartoons and have been wanting to do this for a while, and since I'm going to only have a half-courseload of college classes over the summer I'll have some free time to finally start it up. A few people I've mentioned this to have been concerned that I'd be ripping off the Nostalgia Critic, which I'd never want to do, so I'm planning to do research into the shows I watch to make the presentation more informative and interesting while keeping the satire. I'm also not necessarily restricting myself to old cartoons either. Old and new, good and bad, serious or funny--almost anything is fair game. What I'm looking for though are suggestions of cartoon shows you guys would like to see me review. The only restrictions are no anime, strictly western shows; no movies, even if they're animated; and no live-action shows. Any other helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've already decided what the first few episodes of my little Youtube show are going to be: 01: Samurai Jack (my favorite good cartoon) 02: Adventure Time! (haven't actually watched this one yet, so it should be interesting) 03: Mega Man (my favorite bad cartoon) 04: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (suggested by SuperDAIU) 05: Megas XLR (Suggested by Lanopo) 06: Courage the Cowardly Dog 07: Spider-Man (1967) 08: Sheep in the Big City (suggested by The Riddler) 09: Futurama (suggested by Murkrow) 10: Rugrats (suggested by Lucinice) I'll update this list as I get suggestions I like. Thanks in advance for any and all help you're willing to provide! EDIT: Don't feel bad if I don't add your cartoon to the list. I may take your suggestion in the future. The list just confirms what episodes I'm doing and in what order.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
I've watch about 22 episodes and i got to say, it isn't a bad show for 3 year old girls. It's just bad script writing that bothers me... and fans.
Which Spiderman? Wait, nevermind, just looked at the OP. Shit.
Just because I don't decide to review a cartoon this time around doesn't mean I won't do it later. I'm just trying to get a list of about 10-15 cartoons together before I start reviewing. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline]
Sheep in the Big City and Dexter's Lab would be good.
I'll do Dexter's Lab next time around. Sheep in the Big City sounds pretty good though. Adding to OP.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Jesus Christ, do you realize what you've done? This isn't going to be a stream of cartoons anymore. Once they all flock over, it's going to turn into a 24/7 neckbeard ponyfag circlejerk with obese men tugging their pork to animated ponies and shooting jizz all over their keyboards.
Pingu, Tom and Jerry, Looneytoons. When it comes to Tom and Jerry and Looneytoons, I'm talking the older episodes, like 50s/60s stuff.

Would more adult oriented cartoons like Futurama and Venture Bros. count?

I think I might have to save those for later. As for Pingu... I'm not sure if stop-motion should count. Let me think about it.
Thank you for contributing nothing to this thread. Would more adult oriented cartoons like Futurama and Venture Bros. count?
Yes, they do. In fact, I'm going to add Futurama to the list. I love that show.
