So my school finally got a photography program, it's not very much seeing as how the teacher is mainly an English teacher and photography is less of a hobby to her than it is to me. Most of the kids in the class just have your run of the mill point and shoot. Anyhow, the teacher said we should be sending her our best photos to her by email, (8 of our favorites per week). Since I have a leg up on everyone else by already doing photography as a hobby for over a year, and an expensive DSLR, I decided to limit myself to only shooting photos on school grounds. So without further ado, here's some photos resulting from 45 minutes in class.

Pretty good
I like the worn basketball net. The depth of field on the leaves are cool too!

Yeah, the basketball net struck me as good subject matter. Unfortunately, I couldn't get an interesting angle on it, :(

I expected a bird's eye view from you. :sax:
I like your photos, the ones of the wood and leaf are my favorites of the bunch.

you definitely went a bit overboard with the editing

Beautiful, love the colours
Could i get a wallpaper of this one, please?
the landscape shots could definitely be better they look pretty flat. and all the other shots are just kind of close up shots of things, i like the basketball hoop, but the rest are pretty boring.
OP: point and shoot has the potential to make better photo's than a thousand dollar camera. Depending on the user obviously.
But your photos are seriously neat.
I like the first four. Others are good too, some have too much editing though.
My main criticism is that the clouds look like they are casting shadows on the sky.
You should teach photography to these people.
A++ content, as always.
and this is why you'd make a good moderator, great photos, great content the only thing lacking however is a great response

Hah, probably. I was bored in class for 25 minutes.
[editline]09:54PM[/editline]
Also, I'm probably going to update this at least three times a week due to class.
-doubletoast-
and to whoever asked for the wallpaper, I'll do it in a while. What size do you need?

Yeah but the people I'm working with don't have any photography experience.
I'm starting out portrait photography at my school soon enough. I already got a ton of people requesting it.
Try to be a little lighter on the post processing for your most recent batch.
I modeled for a friend of mine for school.
Ended up taking a picture of me holding the naked breasts of 15yr old.
They were massive. Best day of my life.
Cannot wait for the prints.
Basket ball hoop is nice
I think your motives are nothing out of the ordinary really. When will people realize that photography is not just about a random object in front and as much DoF in the background as possible. The first one would've been very good if the leaves were on in a whole and not cropped. The last two are obviously overprocessed although that gives a pretty neat look on the last one.

Around the time you realise photography is an art form, and therefore people can do whatever they damn well please with it.
if the leaves were on in a whole and not cropped.
Wat
only like two of these are cropped at all, which is the clouds and one landscape.

sry me no gud english
Well, what i mean is that you don't have that bunch of leaves as a whole on, the lower one is cropped off. Doesn't matter if it's post processed or done so when taking the pic but it is.

Agreed. My first thought was 'How would there be a shadow on the sky above the clouds?'
To be honest, I only like the first one, the others are boring and predictable.
