He was 93. The voice actor and radio drama producer passed away on Sunday morning at his home in Berkeley, Calif., his manager, Derek Maki, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. In the 1983 space opera, Bauersfeld voiced Ackbar— delivering the line, "It's a trap!" — when the fate of the alliance looks grim during the Death Star fleet attack. He also voiced Jabba the Hutt's staffer Bib Fortuna in the same film. He returned to voice Ackbar in last year's Force Awakens. May you be free of traps in the sky.
RIP The Admiral is now silent.
What a fantastic memorable legacy he leaves behind. Thank you for Admiral Ackbar, RIP. I had the pleasure of meeting him not one or two years back at a convention :)
He voiced the guy in Force Awakens? Wow. Guess you can say "it's a wrap"?
I feel like we should remember him for more than saying one passing line in Star wars
He voiced the guy in Force Awakens? Wow. Guess you can say "it's a wrap"?
[sp]He was one of the pilots on the assault on starkiller base, along with the other fish guy who was with lando in the falcon[/sp]
[sp]He was one of the pilots on the assault on starkiller base, along with the other fish guy who was with lando in the falcon[/sp]
[sp] Admiral Ackbar is also present at the Resistance base.[/sp]
[sp]He was one of the pilots on the assault on starkiller base, along with the other fish guy who was with lando in the falcon[/sp]
Can we get a wilhelm scream in here for this man?
He voiced the guy in Force Awakens? Wow. Guess you can say "it's a wrap"?
I fucking knew he was the one that kept making counter-statements towards the plan at [sp]the resistance base as they planned to take on Starkiller Base[/sp], the voice was so similar but no one else I know noticed it.
Regardless of how minor his role was, SW won't be the same without him.
I'm glad he was able to reprise his role one more time atleast. Rest in peace space fish.
My heart can't contain sympathy of this magnitude.
A pity. May he rest in peace.
My sweet, sweet meme ;-;
