Well it's that time of year again!
Do you like skiing or snowboarding? Here's the place on Facepunch to tell us.
Tell us:
- If you Ski, Snowboard, or both.
- Where you like to Ski, or Snowboard.
- What type of Ski's or Snowboards do you have? (Please post pictures)
- What type of Skier or Snowboarder are you? (Skill level, training/conditioning etc.)
- Where have you Skied or Snowboarded in the past?
- What gear do you have? Share your cool stuff.
Also, feel free to post stories and personal experiences! We'd love to hear them.
I'll start out sharing my goodness;
I ski, but I don't snowboard. I love as north, or west as I can go ( I live in NJ ). I have a pair of Salomon BBR 10.0's.
My favorite place to ski is Utah, Colorado, or Vermont. I actually am returning to Colorado for my third season this week on Saturday.
To add to that, I like to use a Helmet Mounted Go-Pro camera to record my trips. I'll post a few of them when I get back.
I enjoy your plain-old gear, just solid colors, like black and grey for my jackets and pants and such; not to attract too much attention.
Well, that's it! I look forward to hearing your stories and thoughts!
Been skiing since I was 8, turning 18 this february
I consider myself good although I barely do tricks, I'm more of a off-pist skier
Taking a speedriding course [t]http://roldalfreeride.no/files/2011/05/sverrehjornevik-4197.jpg[/t] next year, can't wait.
I also have a helmet mount gopro camera, although I never use it for skiing, mostly paragliding.
Been skiing since I was 3, mostly do freeriding/some park. I race as well, have a race on Thursday.
For Skis I've got 154cm Elan Pinballs

and grabbed some Salamon X-wings from a few years back for $100. They are a little stiff for me, but they work.

I live in North central Massachusetts so I ski mostly at Wachusett, but we go up to Sunday River every few weekends
------------------------------------
I guess I could call myself an expert, I can pretty much anything on the East Coast, and I'm starting to get into park this year. I'm heading up to Sunday River this weekend, they have loads of snow right now, I'm hoping there's some fresh stuff left in the woods.
-Snowboard
-Live in Northern British Columbia so Powder King, Whistler, Big White, Sun Peaks, Silver Star, Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, really there's tons to choose from those are some of my favs. already been to PK 3 times this season and big white once
-Burton Operator (Pic at bottom)
-Was big in to tricks and flips and all that jazz but over the years now just enjoy going through black diamond runs and enjoying fresh powder. challenging myself on some black diamond runs is more fun than doing back flips these days
-Been to basically every resort in BC, quite a few in Alberta, as well as went on a big ski trip in the Swiss alps a few years back.
-nothing special just some northern mountain and burton boots / pants. colourful cuz i'm a homo

[editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
also been snowboarding for ~12 years
Very cool! One question- I have been skiing for roughly 11~12 years, and I havent found a pair os skii's that truly satisfy my needs, just like Petrussen, I rarely do tricks, rather just parallel and incline moves, I prefer harder and steeper trails, but I enjoy the occasional carve on a standard flat-plane. Can anyone recomend a good pair of skiis that would satisfy my needs? Money isn't a problem. I just got a good job, and since skiing is such a big part of my life, I am willing to spend good money for a good pair. Any suggestions?
