That looks even more painful to use then the keys on my old Pedion. When will Apple completely replace the keyboard with a membrane ala-ZX81?
They're using the Core M? God fucking dammit. That's even worse than the downclocked i5. Is this replacing the Pro with Retina or the Air?
lol $300 for 256gb larger ssd and 100mhz faster processor good old apple
the Trackpad doesn't click it has pressure sensitive haptic feedback that vibrates when you push hard [editline]9th March 2015[/editline] the intel HD 5300 is 23% slower than the HD 4000 according to PassMark
I seriously don't get this thin fad, I prefer having my stuff more bulkier and less fragile.
THE $10,000 WATCH EDITION COMES WITH A PLASTIC WATCH STRAP WHAT http://store.apple.com/us/buy-watch/apple-watch-edition
lol $300 for 256gb larger ssd and 100mhz faster processor good old apple
I'm not a fan of Apple products but considering how thin that thing is, I don't think that price gap is too unreasonable. Doubling the SSD capacity while fitting all the hardware into those dimensions has to be expensive.

Buy a new watch? This is either the worlds worst design or the most evil push at planned obsolescence I have ever heard of. Edited: Oh, they are detachable.
What do you do when the strap breaks? Buy a new watch?
Well, considering you would have to be really stupid to buy a $10,000 apple watch in the first place, yes. That or hope warranty covers it.
Literally a tablet with a keyboard. At least most competitors are detachable, but then they wouldn't need the iPad would they.

Hmm. Yah know, apple, perhaps you could land some more sales and get a bigger market share if you sold the MacBook Girder, which is built in and of the material used to make a bridge girder. Durability is a selling point, after all, and it's one of the major ones(Besides price, lack of functionality, stripped I/O, lack of user serviciablity and the locked-down OS) that keep me from buying your laptops. In all seriousness, if a computer company released a laptop so durable it could take a direct hit from a 9mm at point blank and still function I'd start saving right the fuck up to buy one. I don't care if it means the processor and GPU are a couple years out of date. Make a laptop so durable it is literally bulletproof and you have my money.

Apple is more and more aiming for exclusive VIP items for rich hipsters

It's essentially a full blown *nix system.
Apple is more and more aiming for exclusive VIP items for rich hipsters
If making products for a VIP audience is working for them, why wouldn't they?
hey I didn't say it isn't working for them, they have thousands of times more money than I can count, just what I'm seeing is all I more said hipsters because... a 10,000$ watch is so out there. No one buys that except the exclusively wasteful :v:
I've always wanted a bendable laptop.
I've always wanted a bendable laptop.
the laptop is actually immune to being dropped I hear it's so thin that it actually is aerodynamic, to the point that it will fall exactly like paper and land softly on the ground, completely unharmed by even solid stone it's also waterproof, as it's so thin, that water molecules can't physically get inside the cracks and crevices of the device
I seriously don't get this thin fad, I prefer having my stuff more bulkier and less fragile.
It's meant for college students and authors/journalists who don't need high performance but want to be able to travel with their laptop easily. Having a thin light laptop means you can carry more stuff.
Such a joke, but people will still buy it, because it's thin and has an Apple logo on it. Also, I always thought it was funny how some apple products cost over $100 for some extra hard drive space.
I want an Apple watch, have been looking forward to it. Especially the health features, really cool stuff.
The fact that you think OS X is locked down really shows you don't know anything about Macs. It's essentially a full blown *nix system.
For the average user, it is though. I can't say I really expected to open the terminal just to view hidden files and folders. The capability certainly is there but Windows exposes much of that in a more accessible fashion than OSX.

Second to those vendors you have Panasonic and (formerly) Itronix.
Apple is more and more aiming for exclusive VIP items for rich hipsters
Meanwhile the multimedia community that has trusted Apple for over 20 years (hello there Digidesign, Avid and Adobe, to name three) and pretty much helped them survive until 1997 is nothing but betrayed with their current lineup as it no longer caters specifically to them as-is but instead requires thousands in additional hardware (ProTools in particular) to achieve the same useability of the last generation.
Apple seems to have taken its laptop design advice from anorexics.
