• Rick Perry: Church and state separation is the devil’s work
Rick Perry, speaking on a conference call with Christian conservatives Tuesday, called the separation between church and state a false premise that is advanced by the devil. He also said that the Obama Administration and court system are working to remove religous references from the American way of life and that is it up to “Christian warriors, Christian soldiers,” to prevent it from happening. Since his presidential campaign, Perry has been publicly outspoken about what he sees as the strong role of religion in public service, but the statements and audio, posted by Right Wing Watch, are among his most strident. Perry was participating in conservative pastor Rick Scarborough’s “40 Days to Save America,” which calls for prayer and fasting that seeks God’s intervention for the nation and leading up to the November election. Perry told listeners that instead of staying away from the political fray, people of faith have, “a Biblical responsibility to be involved in the public arena proclaiming God’s truth,” Perry said. He said it is particularly true on the abortion issues, where it’s “important that we as Christians put legislation into place, that we elect women and men that defend life.” “Satan runs across the world with his doubt and with his untruths and what have you, and one of the untruths out there that is driven is that people of faith should not be involved in the public arena,” Perry said. Perry also struck a theme he used frequently on the presidential campaign that the Obama Administration has declared a war on religion, mostly citing a decision that health insurance policies include coverage for contraceptives. “The American family is under seige, traditional values are somehow exclusionary, a simple prayer in our public schools is the basis for these secular attacks,” Perry said, calling it “spiritual warfare.” “It falls on us, we truly are Christian warriors, Christian soldiers, and for us as Americans to stand our ground and to firmly send a message to Washington that our nation is about more than just some secular laws,” Perry said. Barack Obama is the anti-christ.
In case you have forgotten who Rick Perry is Seriously he can just go fuck himself.
God he's dumb.
I totally forgot about this guy
Reality should just become incarnated as a person and declare that the voting GOP is objectively bad
Why is still talking nobody cares anymore
Which is exactly why Jesus advocates it in the Bible. THAT MUST MEAN JESUS IS THE DEVIL!
Somewhere along the line I mentally merged Rick and Mitt together into one super bigot. I forgot that Rick even existed.
what an insane man
Welp, I guess the Founding Fathers were all demons considering they explicitly stated that church and state are separate in the establishment clause of the First Amendment.
Rick Perry's voters are the 24th chromosome's work.
Which is exactly why Jesus advocates it in the Bible. THAT MUST MEAN JESUS IS THE DEVIL!
everyone loves satan
He also said that the Obama Administration and court system are working to remove religous references from the American way of life and that is it up to “Christian warriors, Christian soldiers,” to prevent it from happening.
That's some militant shit.
Oooooh, it's THIS guy!
I'm pretty sure it's a reference to the Genesis flood. If it is, does he want God to intervene in a similar way and kill all sinners again?
So what exactly caused Rick Perry to come out of the fundamentalist closet?
So what exactly caused Rick Perry to come out of the fundamentalist closet?
His secret butt-buddy Romney needs a hand.
His secret butt-buddy Romney needs a hand.
Funny thing was, Romney used to be a moderate.
Funny thing was, Romney used to be a moderate.
Religion. Not even once.

The Founding Fathers were more fucking progressive then this assmunch, what the fuck happened to our country?
The Founding Fathers were more fucking progressive then this assmunch, what the fuck happened to our country?
Fox News happened.
Funny thing was, Romney used to be a moderate.
he still is. if romney gains the presidency, he'll go moderate, given he won't need the conservative vote anymore.
The Founding Fathers were more fucking progressive then this assmunch, what the fuck happened to our country?
You've got spineless cowards in one party, and the batshit fundamentalist in the other. The middle-grounders usually vote for the lesser of evils hoping that the one decrying the least bullshit will remain some sanity in actual presidency, and the fact of the matter is that the 3rd Parties/Candidates don't make it far because they aren't represented by major news outlets. I apologize if I sound like I'm trying to be edgy, but it's a gigantic political circus.
Wow this guy is still in politics after he made a fool out of himself with that 'Strong' video, looking like an ignorant asshole to the whole world? If I were him I'd grew a beard, change name, learn spanish and escape in peru.
god is great fuck gay people give control to the vatican etc.
it baffles me that a grown adult can still believe the devil actually exists...
why is it that every time i read about us politics it's about shit like religion and gay rights? aren't there bigger issues in that country?
