Smooth jazz makes me wanna vomit. fusion jazz is where it's at.

That's the "Get Classy" song isn't it
I can't find a download for it, neither can I find any other song by the same artist/band
Anyways, John Coltrane is amazing

and so is Paul Desmond

i'm very new to jazz, and smooth jazz is one of the first things i noticed. This is brilliant, though.
Thanks for contributing :)

-John Coltrane video-

and so is Paul Desmond
-Paul Desmond video-

this is also a good song, no idea who wrote it though
-Random wedding jazz video-

Made me think of this.
Check out other stuff with the Dave Brubeck quartet. I suggest getting the album Time Out; named so because all the songs have weird time signatures.

You may also enjoy Charles Mingus. Sometimes he's pretty crazy but other times he's more contemplative.

Miles Davis' Kind of Blue is probably the most listened to of all jazz albums. It's not as grabby as Charles Mingus or John Coltrane but there's a big sense of humbleness and coolness in the music which makes it very addicting for me.

Kind of Blue isn't as interesting as some of his others.
However it happens to be what it is.
Smooth Jazz is greatness.

Fuck that second song sounds amazing, I have to get some of his stuff
It's darker than most
Can't stand blue rondo a la turk though :v: But I should listen to the rest of the album, yeah
And yeah I listened to Kind of Blue a lot a while back, but I got sick of it pretty fast

Studio quality, although the performance is not as good IMO
and here's another one of his songs

Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson is awesome, though he's a bit more to the blues genre, but I'm sure you'll still like it, it's so perfect and harmonic.
