If you don't remember last September I made a thread about enlisting in the Military, that was completed and I completed high school and have been waiting for my shipping day. Shipping day is July 20th but leaving for the hotel July 19th, I am going to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
I will be gone for 8-10 weeks and than come home for around a month and than leave for my A.I.T training as a 21B (Combat Engineer).
Just wanted to update you all on how it is going.
If you are curious here is my other thread saying that I am enlisting and all that good stuff

Good luck.
Take good pics of people in uniforms (preferably girls, but cute boys are fine) because I love US military uniforms.

Well I am not allowed a phone or anything like that, but my graduation day I will make sure I get lots of pictures.
Good luck and don't forget the Frontier Justice, it's a good battle engie gun.
But with all due seriousness: good luck, don't die, don't get eaten by giant scorpions, kill insurgents.
Good luck and try not to get plugged :v:
Don't forget that you can't look at explosions if you wanna be cool.

Bring me a burqa back.
Thanks for the update. :) And good luck. :)
Good luck man, i have been debating whether to join the navy or army. I WILL join one of them after i graduate, so for now it looks more like the navy.

Well just think about it, I chose the National Guard because I still get to have a life on the side and just go to a drill once a month which isn't bad at all. Get paid extra money each month for working out and practicing.
Either way, it is a good thing to serve your country :)

Yeah, but its a hard subject, i don't really want to risk my life so much, but i still want to serve.

Thats whats great about the National Guard, you can choose a job that is safer, while still be safe at home, there is still a chance of being deployed, the states go into a rotation my state for my unit is coming back this December, and won't go for another 4 years or so. My chances of being deployed are kinda high, but I am also okay with deploying, although I am scared of deploying lol
Yeah well Good luck OP. My sister is off to Royal Air Force training and then a year later so am I, it feels good to serve.
Have fun being told your worthless by the Drill Sergeant :P
Good luck!
lets hope this thread doesn't turn into a shit fest by the second page.
so, uh, best wishes? dont get shot?
Good luck, don't act like a douche bag and give us a bad name... though you are in the national guard so it doesn't really matter.
weekend warrior ay?
Good luck and don't get shot
Shoot somebody
Don't tell them you're gay.
Ill be joining the army soon also. Good luck soldier. And remember. Come back in one piece
Just remember to call in the care packages in a safe place
Those fucking snipers will steal it :argh:
Anyway, shoot somebody.
When you're done with basic training, you will be a super soldier killing machine. Good luck :v:

You can do the same in the army. Everyone thinks that if you choose the join the army you instantly have to be shipped to Iraq or Afghan. No, that's a choice. Those that were shipped to the middle east CHOSE to be there.
My good friend just left for Basic Training on Monday. He's going into the Army and his training is 15 weeks. I'll get to see him for a week when he gets back in October, and then he's going overseas :frown:
weekend warrior ay?
Country was founded with the weekend warriors/minute men.
United states was founded 1776 and the National Guard has been active since 1636 to present, we have been around longer than any of the other branches.
Just a little history lesson =\

Did I say you instantly have a chance of being deployed? You have more of a chance to be deployed. Unless you volunteer.
Good luck sir. :patriot:
