You would have probably been better off posting a few photos in the creative photography thread to be honest. That said most of the photos are very good for what they are, but they all seem to be macro's with uninteresting subjects which I personally find boring and generic.

I have to agree, most of these do seem like the photos everyone goes and takes the first time round. Why would you put up those cat photos in a portfolio for example? The sunset in the portfolio looks over-processed to the point of being too unnatural. The third photo, of the seagull landing, is very nice timing-wise, and the lighting and colours are great. The caterpillar photo is decent but would have benefited from a more interesting composition. Perhaps a lower angle, so the caterpillar would have been peering down at the camera would have made for a more interesting shot. The flies are completely out of focus, and the flower shots are uninspiring (I'm also guilty of taking photos like those). I really like the hues in the photo of the autumn trees, but the sky is bland and detracts from the image. If you had moved the horizon up as to have more land than sky in the image you'd have had a much better landscape. Just my two cents.
