Sounds great in my opinion, I've always loved Childish Gambino and when his debut "Me and Your Mama" was released I screamed and dropped my shit to listen to it. The man is a genius.
While Childish may be a very talented individual all around I don't really believe his musical endeavors are really pushing the envelope enough to consider him a genius. He's been steadily improving though.

I didn't mean a IQ of 140 genius stuff, I just meant he is very talented and is very creative with his work. His music is amazing, stand up is a great, amazing actor, amazing writer, and his show Atlanta is a great success. I greatly admire him
I suppose I should have clarified, I meant a musical genius. I don't think his music is really all that special but that's okay cause it's just my opinion.
I personally dont enjoy his rap. This is what I've been waiting for this entire time. So much better imo.
I like the other track a lot more - it feels like he's trying to go into P-Funk territory with all this new Pharos material. Interesting.

His rap isn't appreciated by many, but I enjoy it, if you ever listen to his lyrics the wordplay, cleverness, and effort, is easily shown
ouuu i like this one- i agree this is the side of his music i like the best, and this is the best of it for sure. I do still enjoy the hits in terms of some of the most clever bars he's ever written, but damn this shit just mellows me out in the best way~
when gambino said his biggest influence was maggot brain I was pretty skeptical. But after listening to this and his previous song, im pretty excited for whatever he puts out next.

I was iffy after the first song they released but now I'm on board
Gambino always seemed to me like he had something he was going for and a place he wanted to go but just didnt have everything figured out yet. Lots of his songs just feel like they're missing something, but it seems like he's starting to work it out a little bit. Good on him.

His lyrics in his raps are pretty eh, its full of punchlinespunchlinespunchlines, his wordplay is indeed nice but he needs to tone it down a bit
