Probably thought he was homeless and asleep, he honestly doesn't LOOK really dead minus his fingernails and the slight rigimortis.
How did he die?

Death
How did he die?
He stopped breathing
This is a lot like the polish town I was growing up in for a few years
This is a lot like the polish town I was growing up in for a few years
Including public corpse, or not? :v:
Haha holy shit that place looks depressing
How did he die?
lack of heartbeat
Anybody got a translation of what they are talking about? Why does he have what looks like medical tag on him?
Everyone who's replying to the question of how he died with an unfunny variation of "he died", it's getting old. Looks like he got offed by the mafia or some shit, his hands were tied.
Including public corpse, or not? :v:
That mentality in general :v:
Its like that scene in Yojimbo where the protagonist enters the town and one of his first impressions is a dog carrying off a human hand :V
Probably thought he was homeless and asleep, he honestly doesn't LOOK really dead minus his fingernails and the slight rigimortis.
I imagine most of these people would have no idea what happens to a dead body, plus the purple fingernails could be confused for dirt from a distance. More than anything though I imagine it's 'somebody else's problem' syndrome.

life

He's not homeless. People in the video knew him and knew where he lived.

That tag states date of death and I guess it was placed by emergency (there's a stamp in the upper right corner). Don't know why they left the body, though.
Also some people left a note (0:36) for the emergency.
It says: "For the emergency brigade. Documents and referral are at St. Ovrazhnya, 28. Waited for more than 24 hours."

That's pure incompetence on emergency service behalf. That must have been traumatizing for the community, seeing someone they knew in a gutter like that for days.

Emergency services in rural Soviet-bloc countries isn't exactly up to snuff with the UK and USA, they're probably used to it.

Even if it's common I can't imagine it being easy to get used to.
possible that all the people living there just assumed he was drunk and fell asleep or something
He stopped breathing
If you wanna be technical about it, you're dead once your brain stops functioning. Loss of breathing is simply what causes the lack of oxygen to go to the brain and causes it to die. But then, I suppose the gun shot wound caused by the .45 ACP round caused that, and it never would have been fired if the m1911 that it was fired from have never become so plentiful. And the m1911 only became so plentiful after its wonderful service in WW1, which was started by the Germans fighting on behalf of Austria, who only wanted war because Franz ferdinand was killed by rebels from the Balkans. And of course the Balkans were really only unstable because the Byzantine empire collapsed, which was due to a long steady decline from the Roman empire.
In reality it was Rome's fault the man is dead.
If anyone wondering people in that video said that the guy was coming around to fed local dogs.
And his hands are not tied its corpse details stuff "what caused death and when".
Haha holy shit that place looks depressing
That's countryside russia for you. Tbh almost everything in russia looks depressing.
How did he die?
he uhh hehe stopped living haha xD
That's just messed up. Nobody even takes time to at least attempt to cremate the body, for what it's worth...
I don't know the situation, I don't know their general mindset, all I see is a dead person in a gutter who's lied there for two days. Nobody deserves to die like that.

Don't know how you guys do it over there, but here we generally report bodies to the police and find out who they were before we break out the jerry can.

well not to mention that it is surrounded by wooden buildings, burning is not exactly advisable

Yeah, I knew I was forgetting something. I'm a fool lately.
Anyway, I don't think that it'll take two days for something to be done, even in the most backwater areas of the States?
Well no surprise, most of Russia is backwater countryside with nothing to do. I mean, shit, it always pissed me off, take a look at the map - here's a big city, here's a big city, here's a big industrial/metropolitan area, here's another, and these dots are reasonably large towns and villages... and everything else is just wilderness and backwater countryside with dying villages, some of which are long since disappeared off of maps due to "abandonment".
Reminds me of the scene in one million ways to die in the west
