God damn... I've read about sharks doing this type of thing before staying under docks were people are fishing to steal whatever they've caught, but I've never actually seen it before.

I would have shat my pants and ran away if I saw that.

I always thought there's like nets around the waters in areas like that which protect the townspeople against sharks.

There are, but sometimes the towns forget to put them, don't have a large enough budget, or something like that, or the sharks just get through the net, I don't really know much about it but it this did happen while I was living in Connecticut at my local beach which had a massive net that a bull shark had gotten through.

I doubt it. That might ruin the ecosystem. Preventing fish from swimming around.
Plus, there's always holes.

Sharks are fucking ass holes, them and dolphins. Whenever I would go deep sea fishing for red snap, half the time when I'd get one to the surface half of it or all of it would get eaten by a shark, and dolphins would try and steal your bait on the way down. Damn fish.

Shark nets are awful and rarely do the job they're intended for. Not to mention this is the bull sharks natural habitat. If you want to live on the coast or be on the beach sharks are a thing you have to deal with. You're the guest in their natural habitat, not the other way around.
