I Love Windows 7, just got it for free yesterday form school, Professional 64bit. I also like Linux, use it sometimes in virtual PC.
I use both Windows 7 and Linux (Mint 8). I use Linux on my EeePC although when I build my new PC I will dual boot.
You cannot compare Windows to Linux.
Linux is for people who know what they're doing. If you're asking, it's not for you.
Windows 7 is pretty tight. I like it alot more over Vista. I haven't used linux so I wouldn't know which is better.
