The presence of horsemeat in beef products was due to "incompetence" or an international criminal "conspiracy", the environment secretary has said.
It comes after Owen Paterson met retailers and the Food Standards Agency to ask how "beef" products containing up to 100% horsemeat were sold.
He said he hoped for "meaningful results" on Friday from tests ordered on all processed beef products.
Aldi, Tesco and Findus have all withdrawn certain products.
Damn French
I believe it was Polish. Wasn't the "beef" in question coming from Poland?
horsemeat gave me brain cancer NOW I HAVE TO EAT WITH A TUBE
THE ILLUMINATI DID THIS

I've said this once and i'll say it again; the only true negatives about the horsemeat debacle is the false advertising of it being beef, and the ambiguity of the source of the horsemeat.

Pretty much this
why are they falsely advertising anyways? I'm lost.

I thought another issue was that they dont know where the horse meat originally came from, so they dont know if that meat is safe as it may not follow the guidelines
Ok then, so that's another issue; ambiguity of horsemeat sources. Add in some proper horsemeat regulation and ethical sourcing, and that'll patch up that issue.
well a horse did kill Superman so I'm with this guy.
I bet the Jews did this

Actually, horse meat isn't Kosher, so probably not

Actually no just saw on tv they found out the horse meat came from a romanian producer
edit: they also said they found beef in halal products, good thing it wasn't pork :v:

It is also because some of it may contain bute, which is unsafe for human consumption.
Where I'm from, most people would be disgusted at the idea of eating horsemeat. I'm assuming that the feeling would be the same over there.

Because we don't eat horse in Britain, try and sell a horsemeat lasagne and it will sell very poorly
If it was a beef lasagne and it turned out they were using lamb, no one would care because we eat lamb
Aren't horse expensive or something?
the only real conspiracy here is profiteering businesses
How many tons of horse was already eaten you think ? Where all this horse come from ? Is someone producing them specifically for selling as a false beef ?
Btw once I eaten hungarian horse salami and it was delicious.
thanks obama
