Kinda bizarre the digital version will be on Bnet, but eh.

the entire pc version will be on b.net.
the cd key in the physical version will be activated through the blizzard app just like any other blizzard box pc game
well uh I didn't see much gameplay, but it sure is a game! that exists!
Not really gameplay but more or less ingame cutscenes. I mean i would have prefered to see 10 minutes of actual gameplay through a mission

They showed gameplay in the stream. I think it'll be up later.
seems to be more of the same tbh

so far:
-3 new gun types confirmed, since each gun type has numerous variants this means a ton of new weaponry with their own perks and feels. In Destiny 1, A shotgun called "Party Crasher +1" feels entirely different from a shotgun called "Matador 64". They also have Gun Mods for guns now, no clue how that will work at all.
-new ultimate abilities, so far we have only seen the void one for titan which makes you essentially captain america, the fire one for warlock which turns you into a floating fire shitter, and arc one for hunter which seems like a improved arcblade. each class had 3 subclass types for each element so theres more abilities.
- a completely reworked patrol system, theres now "lost zones" of the worlds you explore (which im assuming is proc gen mini-dungeons), treasures across the map, and towns to get quests from. completely different from the patrol system in destiny. D1's Patrols are p shit and this is a massive change.
- the Menu/Orbit system has been worked where you dont need to go to space to matchmake and stuff. can be done while exploring planets.
-A easier LFG system for the advanced games like raids/nightfalls/etc. so solo players can easily find a group to play with. I never touched Nightfall/raids/etc. in destiny 1 because of this reason and D2 seems to fix that.
-Clan System will now reward everyone in clan for playing. not sure how yet but its a thing.
-various QOL Improvements
we havent seen how D2 Strikes/Patrols/Etc. work hands on yet, which will probably come out later tonight or tomorrow.
theres alot of differences in D2 so far.
The differences listed above really seem like quality of life improvements from the first game, not a new feature.
Removing the in between from planet to planet just makes it faster, not makes it a feature. The clan system is nice for people wanting to play the game's various multiplayer challenges. New guns just expands on the previous concept.
The lost zones sound like little areas around the map that are just difficult to find.
The thing this still seems to lack is depth. The story sounds like a new DLC. Lose the city, take it back. One big bad.
I don't know, this seems like the same inch-deep water with a new facelift.

Complete waste of time

I totally agree with you, for some people that's all they want though. I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking from Destiny 2 to be honest. Just what you said, more of the same with improvements to the base structure. The main thing that will decide if I get it or not is the amount of content.
just play other games while you wait my dude
Waiting for the PC version when everyone else is playing it puts me off since I'll probably end up seeing what there is to see by the time the PC version comes out and would end up just buying some other game instead since the initial wow factor will be gone by then, pretty disappointing.
i bet people will have already played through all the content on the console versions by the time the pc version comes out lol

If your fun is determined by how new and "wow" a game is to the degree where it's not even worth it after waiting just a week, maybe you should re-consider your concept of what you think is fun.
I don't really like waiting either, but we can at least consider that it's for a positive reason. Doing last minute checks and making sure the game launches fine. We most likely won't get launch issues that the console version gets.

Like it or not video games take time and money to make
and making a game work on multiple platforms costs even more money and time
can't get every system exactly perfectly in sync you know

That all depends on priorities

I don't have the time to play games a lot nowadays and make do when a game is still at its peak before I have to do whatever IRL stuff I need to do. By the time the PC version comes out most/all there is to do will probably be out there and there's less surprises hence why I'm disappointed its not releasing on the same date as the console versions.
I think some people here are looking a bit too much into my post about it, but I have no ill will against the game itself :pudge:

You could just, not look up anything about the game if you feel that the experience is being spoiled for you.
If you didn't like Destiny post TTK you almost definitely won't like this one.
It's still going to be an mmo fps for people less hardcore than average mmo player.
Seems promising to me.
VEERY interesting decision to not release it on Steam and go with Bnet.
Edit: I forgot for a moment Activision and Blizzard are under one company. In the future they could move COD there too.
Didn't realize it initially, but some of the clips seemed to show human/Guardian-controlled tanks in the gameplay... would be a nice addition in terms of vehicle gameplay, since D1 had only 2 real types of armed drivable vehicles (though Pikes did have 2 sub-variations, normal and heavy).
