At least they're using it for something useful
Yay the Game Jam. [editline]e[/editline] They better add this next.
Damn, that seems pretty cool. Maybe it'll help people get exercise or some shit when they're dual wielding swords or axes.
Seems like voice commands is the only useful feature Kinect has for all these games. You should just be able to use your headset.
I would only use this if no one else was within a 50 meter radius of my voice

I don't really see the point of getting a kinect to do this. It seems a bit tedious. The shouting seems alright though I guess.
i'd rather see this for fallout.
Hope they add the rest of the stuff from the mod week video soon.

Is there particular reason for using Kinect just to recognize voices? Why not just integrate regular microphones?

Do normal microphones not exist? Your telling me the Kinect somehow makes voice recognition easier? Do go on. In a marketing decision for Kinect it is good, but considering most people don't give a rat's ass about the Kinect, who would shell out a ton of money to shout like a retarded nord?

Have voice commands be a common feature for all games.

Play it. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinect
Still doesn't explain why not just use a normal mic. Low quality didn't keep End War from being feasible. Just saying the majority hardcore 360 user's who play Skyrim, probably wouldn't be a big Kinect fan.
why does the character say the shout after you say it?
why does the character say the shout after you say it?
Because everything is a command for your character, including shouts. Would your character in a D&D game say "Equip axe and shield" in-character?
I assume this is going to be 360 exclusive. Can anyone confirm? Not that we really need it anyways.

I bet they got the idea from the PC mod that does this, nice to see they're paying attention to what the community does.

I can't remember what it was called but they let the devs go nuts on Skyrim for a week and add all sorts of cool shit like Kinect compatibility, Goblins, seasons, etc. Maybe we'll see the rest of that stuff?

If only I still gave a shit about Skyrim and owned Kinect.

I haven't loaded up Skyrim on my Xbox for a while now, I might need to get this update once it's out.
I can imagine fucking with my friends with this. "Drop all items" "Sort by category: armor" and sell all of his armor.
