Qatar will be cleared of corruption during the 2022 World Cup bidding process when a Fifa report is published on Thursday, BBC Sport has learned.
It was alleged that Qatar won the staging rights after Fifa officials were paid £3m to support its bid.
However, Fifa's independent ethics adjudicator, Hans Joachim Eckert, is not expected to recommend a revote.
Qatar was awarded the 2022 World Cup in 2010, beating bids from Australia, the United States, South Korea and Japan.
The decision was a surprise and eventually led to a number of corruption allegations.
Jesus, and I thought the NHL was a joke
Riiight...
And because corruption is the worst part in there, and totaly not the heat.
"I swear we aren't corrupt anymore guis."

Do you mean the NFL?
Pathetic, who would pick Qatar over the US or Japan who honestly had the best chances to host this.
FIFA investigating FIFA for corruption is so obvious and the only people that can do anything to change this are the ones being paid millions for their talent for the sport, so good luck convincing them risking a suspension or a life ban.
"we asked ourselves if we were corrupt and we said no"

Well Japan is doing the 2020 Olympic games so that's something. Probably the only foreign Olympics I'd ever want to go to because that goddamn technology.
Wow, we're sure going to enjoy playing in a country that still uses slaves and is actually too hot to play soccer in. Try running around in 45C weather.

But think of those goddamn prices. If london was expensive Japan will be doubly so.

Report released, but now its decended into a farce. Things are about to get very interesting.
FIFA clear Qatar but criticise England, saying "By doing so, [England] damaged the image of Fifa" - and turning a blind eye to Qatar using slave labour doesn't??
I'm happy someone out there is willing to so quickly speak out, hopefully something will be done about this as well.
Fifa are a bunch off cunts. Absolute fucking joke.

The trip alone should be worth it.
Thread title should've been "Exterminatus Declared on Qatar."
I don't watch FIFA (or football for that matter) and Qatar's a shithole anyway, as far as I'm concerned those two deserve each other. It's only like how Russia was picked over other countries despite all the racism and other BS going on over in their football culture.
I don't care about sports, I just like to see just how the event itself pans out.

Lots of fainting people i'd imagine
I wish it was in the US, I'd love to go watch. Plus, say what you will about the US, but we can host some goddamn sporting events
this makes me feel really bad
After the United States performance in the World Cup and the growing interest in European Football, it's fucking stupid not to choose the US.

Even if I'd prefer Japan as a host, the US is probably the one that deserves this the most.
