Clickhole is literally the best possible response to buzzfeed ever to exist
I read shit on Cracked sometimes when I'm lying in bed but I don't think they're too bad or click-baity. Some of their writers are genuinely funny and all of their articles aren't just relevant to pop culture.

I'm about done with Cracked. I use to think of them as a nice casual, brainless read to kill time - but now, the amount of political/social shit they keep shoveling is getting boring.
If my aimless comedy aggregate is talking about Japanese atomic bomb survivors, sex-slave escapees, and GamersGate. Something's wrong.

A comedy article posted on Facebook may get a click or two, but an article about discrimination will get ten times as many, especially within groups of like-minded people
Social justice sells

Sounds like the solution is to get Adblock and Privacy-Style programs out en masse so people can get off this terrible idea that "more views = better content = more money."

Well I'd prefer depressing articles/political articles to pictures of babies doing things. I see where you're coming from, though.

That's the problem, the tech savy people they used to writer for have all this.

Cracked normally try to put a funny spin on whatever they are putting out. I think the super-dark stuff Robert Evans has been doing interviews for is the main exception.
I miss the days of Seanbaby talking about things being punched. The Cracked app wont let me go far back enough in his columnist history annoyingly.

I used to love Cracked but I fell out of love with it and now I struggle not to hate it. Too many of their articles are poorly researched or just contain completely false information, tons of their articles are just excuses for the author to push their viewpoint on some social or political issue and each of them are filtered through tons and tons of barely even hidden bias. Combine that with petty whiny bullshit jumping in on issues that a comedy article site has no reason to be in, like picking apart the worst parts of the brony fandom and applying it to all of them so people who hate bronies can circlejerk over how it's so totally right and bronies can circlejerk over how the article is wrong, participating in the Zoe Quinn shit and a variety of other shitty, overly political, heavily biased, and most importantly not funny or even depressing articles, about the only Cracked articles I'm willing to read anymore are the ones about easter eggs.
Oh yeah, and fuck the whole Teddy Roosevelt thing they have going on, if they're still doing that. I'm sick of people turning real life people in to internet memes so they can smack them on shirts.
Some clickbait is nice. Usually its a cute video or something that I haven't seen and it makes me happy. I just hate the repeated "Life Hacks" clickbait that is the same shit over and over again.

Cracked used to be great, but almost all of their stuff in the past half-year or so has been awful. The "user created lists" have especially suffered.
The only cracked article as of late that I laughed at was the one about actual firefights.
Mainly because of the story about the donkey that walked in the middle of the field of fire and got by an RPG, thus stopping all of the shooting as everyone looked in bemused curiosity.
