It’s far-reaching and has been going on for more than one year. It was reported that an avalanche of information is coming in. The FBI agents say their investigation is likely to yield an indictment.” ABC News sources, however, indicated those statements — and the Fox News reports they’re based on — are inaccurate and without merit.

In February, FBI agents presented their findings to senior FBI officials and prosecutors in the Justice Department’s public integrity section, sources said. But the prosecutors and senior FBI officials agreed that there was no clear evidence of wrongdoing and that a criminal case tied to the Clinton Foundation could not be made, according to the sources. “It was not impressive,” one source said of the February presentation. “It was not something that [prosecutors] felt they could authorize additional steps for. They were not impressed with the presentation or the evidence — if you could even call it evidence to that point.” Investigators and higher-ups have continued to discuss the matter, but there has been no change in posture, sources said. Authorities still believe there is no evidence of wrongdoing, and they do not believe there is a sufficient reason to pursue charges, according to the sources.
This applies to the reports from Fox News that the investigation had been classified as 'very high priority' and was moving towards a 'likely' indictment - ABC reports that the probe remains as dormant as it has been since February, when the FBI determined after some initial inquiries that there was nothing to investigate And here's NBC's report in video form, from here: http://www.msnbc.com/mtp-daily/watch/more-trouble-for-clinton-foundation-nbc-s-pete-williams-explains-800390211693 [vid]https://cdn-e1.streamable.com/video/mp4/ba0y.mp4?token=1479430884_2cfe5d7401d09f954c2c30e834b4abb229df953a[/vid]
You just gotta love the media in this election cycle. The real winners are the heads of media conglomerations this year. Love is sarcastic before people start accusing me of "loving" the establishment.
I'd believe it -- if the Clinton foundation hasn't gotten trouble yet at this point, why would the FBI stir up the beehive right before the election? Seems sketch.
If you're thinking 'well these are just anonymous sources', keep in mind that the original story also came from anonymous sources
But that would mean that Fox exaggerated what was actually happening! They wouldn't do that, right? Right?
Right-biased news group cites "sources" on damming information. Left-biased news group cites "sources" on damming information being without merit. I wonder how CNN is going to chime in on this... http://www.cnn.com/politics Doesn't look like they have anything to say? I guess their reliable sources at the FBI were on the phone.
Presenting lies, or "information" that cannot be verified, as "news" should be illegal.
Presenting lies, or "information" that cannot be verified, as "news" should be illegal.
You mean Libel?
Presenting lies, or "information" that cannot be verified, as "news" should be illegal.
If that was the case, 80% of all news channels/papers/etc would be immediately out of business.
Jeez this has been the biggest back-and-forth clusterfuck. This next week is gonna be so insane.
I'm expecting a few violent incidents at polling stations, but not premeditated massacres like a Columbine -- no, they'll be the stupid, rage-powered kind like some shmuck ramming a car through a wall trying to hit people. It won't be limited to one side, either, so don't think that I'm biased against your candidate's supporters. Stay safe if you go to vote on election day, American friends.
Presenting lies, or "information" that cannot be verified, as "news" should be illegal.
"Information that cannot be verified", do you mean keeping sources anonymous? That's a very important part of journalistic integrity and freedom. Yes, sometimes some journalists do not operate within their code of ethics. But that's not reason enough to destroy an entire profession.
Your media needs to have better integrity rules and regulations but 99% of the time that's just going to end up being corrupt.
Breaking: Fox 'News' makes shit up yet again. Absolutely nobody surprised.
As per usual, Republicans are compulsive liars. Watch as no one gets in trouble for it.
Aaaaaand it doesn't matter because they fucking said it already and there's four days to go until the election.
Breaking: Fox 'News' makes shit up yet again. Absolutely nobody surprised.
Do you honestly not see the irony in calling people liers because they quote anonymous sources on the basis of other anonymous sources.
"We view this not as a 'clever game' of wiki leaks but rather as a 'criminal act' against the United States of America," the email said. "He [presumably Assange] might think this is a clever game today -- but when he is prosecuted and if convicted, he will move from being a clever-cyber thief to a convicted criminal -- and will find out that's a whole different kind of game." but i thought all the emails were forged by russia according to hillary?
You mean my friend was wrong when he told me the FBI was working in conjunction with Reddit and 4chan to prove Hillary runs a child sex ring?
If you watch the video, the Senior Chief Correspondent mentions "Clinton Cash" being used in the FBI investigation. Clinton Cash is a book authored by Peter Franz Schweizer, a senior Breitbart Editor-at-large, which contained a ton of baseless claims and speculations about how the Clintons are evil and all that garbage. A lot of news outlets are reporting that the FBI actually based some of their investigation on the book, but those news outlets aren't making it a headline because they're risking integrity since most of the investigation are on more credible leads and they don't want to create a misleading image of the FBI. Hard-left sites that like risking integrity like Huffington Post, Salon, and Vanity Fair are reporting this as a headlining article.
As per usual, Republicans are compulsive liars. Watch as no one gets in trouble for it.
If there's one thing we should all learn this election cycle, it's that this shit isn't limited to one idealogy or one party. We get this kind of shit on both sides of the fence. Stop pointing figures and blaming just Republicans, that's just as counter-intuitive as what they're doing. It's kind of cliche at this point, but the real enemy here isn't "the other guys". It's the profit-driven media who consistently distort the truth and mislead the public so they can distract us from the real issues and make boatloads of cash in the process.
Jeez this has been the biggest back-and-forth clusterfuck. This next week is gonna be so insane.
Its gonna be a living hell and tensions are running high at my job. I have to open the doors at 6am.

hillary clinton will never be indighted or ever appear in court for the emails again, the right is just clawing at whatever they can because they know in a week they'll be six feet under
Based on my theory that Trump's campaign tries to pre-emptively discredit news against it by accusing Clinton of the exact same thing, I am expecting federal charges against the Trump Foundation within the week.
wow, sounds like a lot of hoopla over nothing.
Finally a corrupt title change by the rigged mods that I can support
Finally a title change by the rigged mods that I can support
Ideally, both of them should. Ideally.
Considering how virtually all news coming out about this is saying it's nothing, I'd like to place 1000 smackeroonies on it being nothing and nothing happening.
Should I collect my smackeroonies in one lump sum or multiple payments over time?
relevant, there are no facts anymore. I have an answering machine full of "IMMEDIATE DIRE WARNINGS ABOUT A CORRUPTED HILLARY PRESIDENCY!"
