As night began to fall on Ukraine’s Shegini-Medyka border crossing with Poland, a crowd of some 100 supporters, based on the Ukrainian side, broke through guards. They charged hundreds of metres past border posts to neutral territory where the Georgian was being prevented from trying to enter Ukraine using his revoked domestic passport. The crowds then pushed him past Ukrainian border posts into the country, without going through formalities. Once on Ukrainian soil, the former leader of Georgia’s 2003 Rose Revolution who has reinvented himself as a challenger to Ukraine’s pro-western President Petro Poroshenko, spoke to a local television station to sum up the drama: “The people decided it this way … you saw the video, how it happened,” he said, before reportedly being ushered into a car heading for Lviv, a nearby provincial capital. I'm not quite sure if I understand, but a dude who was denied entry into Ukraine, illegally entered the country and is now attempting to run for office, in Ukraine?
eh, when in rome.
I'm not quite sure if I understand, but a dude who was denied entry into Ukraine, illegally entered the country and is now attempting to run for office, in Ukraine?
Seems he was stripped of his citizenship by the President solely for calling out the extreme corruption within Ukraine's government, which made him unable to do his job when he was a governor there. He also lead a peaceful revolution in Georgia and diffused the volatile situation that followed. I didn't dig deep but on the surface he seems like a good guy.
I'm not quite sure if I understand, but a dude who was denied entry into Ukraine, illegally entered the country and is now attempting to run for office, in Ukraine?
I highly suggest reading info about Mihail's extravaganza shenanigans, you literally have a person who is wanted back in Georgia for corruption being first offered a citizenship by Poroshenko (despite Georgia's already asking for his extradition, ukranian President simply gives him passport), then offered a governor of odessa position, wich he fucks up tremendeously, he gets removed from goverment, start talking shit about poroshenko(btw, he and avakov also once had a brash off during meeting), poroshenko "sudenly" removes his citizenship wheb Mikhail is abroad presumably arriving shitfaced into Washington to peek at Trump's innaguration, he comes back to europe, avoids interpol for some reason, lands into train in poland to cross into Ukraine, entire train stops, he leaves and then simply walks off into Ukraine. All with silent aproval from west and Georgia's jaw on floor. [editline]14th September 2017[/editline]
. If anybody is going to illegally enter a country and start a revolution any time soon it's going to be this guy.
Well you cant just leave it at that.
Good thing that isn't the whole post, eh?

Saakashvili was funding construction in the city of Batumi by having the largest bank in Kazakhstan grant loans to construction subsidiaries co-owned by the bank's deputy chairman. One of the construction deals Saakashvili set up was a Trump Tower. While Trump's people were working this out the main chairman of the bank was being sued by the UK government for funneling billions of dollars out of the bank and fleeing to London. He sounds pretty legit tho.
