Each engine will be accompanied by knowledgeable train engineers, who will share fun facts, details on how the engines operate, stories from the history of the Disneyland Railroad and more.
A lot of things are coming to the Disneyland Park with the talk Star Wars Land in the works, they're probably starting to perform maintenance in other areas as well. These locomotives are truly working pieces of history and art and it's nice for them to let the park goers to get a close-up and check them out. Disneyland then began recycling its own cooking oil into biodiesel, further reducing fuel costs. The locomotives are fueled by biodiesel blended primarily from used cooking oils drained from Disneyland kitchen fryers then filtered and blended with enough soy based fuel to supply operation, giving credence to guests being able to smell french fries in the tunnels.
They're real trains? that's cool. I've always wanted to ride on a train like amtrak. I'm going to go to school in richmond next year, and I live in Washington, DC, so maybe I can take a train from union station to Richmond sometime! What is it like riding on amtrak? is it fun?
Disney has been a little bit of a bummer with all their renovation stuff going on. They had a few rides down for renovation, and all of the water rides (and water from non-water rides, sans Pirates) closed/drained when I went last year. Was fun, but it's a disappointing to see Splash Mountain, Grizzly River and the Matterhorn shut down when you go there! No mountains to be seen!

We've got the DC metro for that and it's good enough IMO. Other people have problems but I've never had an issue with it

I remember hearing something about running over an animal during the night too.
I went to disneyland paris one year. The lines there were fucking ridiculous.

So the only real train to use is the Amtrak. It's decent if you want to go to LA and not bring a car, but other than that it takes twice as long as driving to get anywhere.

Can you drink on trains? I'm turning 21

From personal experience, riding Amtrak is fun, but you should probably do it in the spring or fall. When I was going down to Raleigh from Philly, the temperature was too hot for the trains to go too fast, as the tracks would buckle. Eventually, our train had to be stopped, because it was too hot and there was an express coming. And they turned the AC off for about 15 minutes. It was living hell.
