American milk chocolate tastes like solid puke, i don't blame him for thinking that way if he's never had european.

"American milk chocolate", you mean Hershey's milk chocolate. They add butyric acid and it's the reason it "tastes like puke".
There's plenty of other milk chocolate made in American (even by Hershey itself) that tastes perfectly fine to your European palate.

Wait, you salt sugary popcorn? When I go to the cinema here and get caramel popcorn instead of salted, it's just popped corn coated in caramel, no salt.

I mean I too could pull the lowest quality product from you country and tout it around as the gold standard of your country.
galaxy chocolate is best chocolate
The Patron Saint of stainless steel, the Sultan of salt, the King of crab meat himself, Alton Brown taught me that popcorn secret years ago when his show was new. And I'm not going to blame the chocolate for ruining the popcorn either, I'm going to put all that blame on the goddamn raisins.
Now if you coat plain popcorn in dark chocolate, and then while it's still melty goodness you put some sea salt on there, goddamn you've got a magical lady legs opening surprise waiting for your mouth.

that just sounds gross. I can imagine having something salty and something sweet separately, like roasted and salty cashew nuts with chocolate or grapes. Not actual sweet popcorn...

salt enhances the sweet tastebuds, yams will be salted to get more of sweet taste and people will add salt to carmel. Don't knock off kettle corn until you've tried it.

Some people put sugar into spaghetti bolognaise.
