They put up the first episode for free. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
I just hope Chris come on next season
I enjoyed the reference to this (plot spoiler kinda, not that anyone cares that much) old YouTube video. It looks like they even grabbed a screenshot of it from a few months back for the episode, since there's more views/likes/dislikes on the original video now.
I'm waiting for the ABC to sue them for using the Good Game name.
I'm waiting for the ABC to sue them for using the Good Game name.
is that trade marked?
is that trade marked?
I would presume so.
It was actually kind of decent.
wtf that was actually not bad and even, at points, made me laugh? and I almost, kind of, dare I say, want to watch what comes next? [editline]30th August 2017[/editline] Dan just fucking makes it. His delivery is actually pretty good.
At the risk of sounding like a parrot: holy shit that was actually fine. I don't know if I would pay actual money for it but if it was free I would have definitely kept watching.
I'm waiting for the ABC to sue them for using the Good Game name.
I don't think they'd bother for a show they cancelled.
Arin's shirt appears and then comes off again at 18:25. That's pretty petty criticism, but the shots are back to back which makes it really abrupt. Overall it was average, with nothing to compel me besides celebrities and awkwardly-paced sitcom humor. Also, it really feels like a retread of VGHS, right down to the ragtag eSports team versus the old pro players. Doing good at gamer school at least felt like a more realistic character motivation over winning money to not worry about paying rent, which doesn't really matter if you are already directly manipulating the person who wants to make you pay it.
Let's get the obvious out of the way for this thread ya? It reeks of "small studio", it's right in that uncanny valley between college final and TV studio. Acting is only tolerable and the pacing is weird, among other similar complaints. It's also impossible to see Danny and Arin as anything other than Danny and Arin, they should have used their real names (ie Jerry Seinfeld) Personally I really liked it. More than I expected to in any case. It got a few genuine out-loud laughs out of me, which I don't have all that often. Interesting to see some genuine B/C-list celebrities
