Borrow portal guns from nerd friends, then go on craigslist to find free or dirt cheap furniture. Rent a good camera for the afternoon, and on a budget of 100 bucks you could easy recreate this video, as long as you know someone who has a hard on for after effects and sony vegas.

I found it annoying that in about half the shots after their face got hit with cake were clean and then they were dirty, then it repeated when they got hit again.
