The season will feature Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. Look for further casting details to come!
Genuinly interested in an actual storyline to Minecraft other than get tough, defeat final boss, poem.
However, does it REALLY have to be Minecraft? There are countless other games series with far more interesting backstories for Telltale to use instead (Half-Life, Warframe, Metro, Fallout.ect).
Doesn't even look that bad... but still, why
Could be interesting
Dave Fennoy though. Just for him alone I'll likely play it.
wasn't the idea of minecraft to make up your own adventure/story?
Wait so it's a telltale engine adventure game? It's extremely misleading to cal it "story mode" in that case.
I would probably like it if a few big Minecraft youtubers made a short appearance by lending their voice to a character. People like Keralis
Imagine a swedish guy saying something about Booshes and Window Penises...
Where in the fuck is Steve?
Who in the fuck are these people?
This looks so dumb.
wait this isn't a joke?! That money could of bought clothes and food for starving children...
I guess the main niche/point of this game is to appeal to kids.
That'll explain why I got a sort of saturday morning cartoon vibe from this.
Patton Oswalt. What are you doing here?
This seems like it would have made more sense just being a kids' movie.
Clearly designed more for kids, but that's a lot better looking than I expected when the game was announced. Hell of a good voice cast too.
This looks like all the youtube animations that are in my side list whenever I'm watching any video not related to minecraft.
Hell there was this minecraft series on Newgrounds that had a more interesting story going for it than this.
I love Patton Oswalt, but you could have him swearing up and down the Minecraft server and I still wouldn't pay the possible $30 for the whole season :v:
I can imagine seasons of this though, like with Pixar's Cars franchise. Wolf Among Us, and Sam and Max aren't getting any seasons soon, but this will probably get alot of seasons just for the franchise alone.
This is going to be the most pointless thing to ever just appear into gaming I have ever seen. It's not as god cringy awful as I imagined it (to the guy that said youtubers as voices WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!), but this is clearly not going to be interesting to anyone but either someone willing to blow $30, or young children who play Minecraft extensively.
Also Corey Feldman, fucking what?! :v:
I laughed a bit when the characters opened their mouth and talk,
too bad there's no Steve.
Minecraft: Story Mode had potential to be a Lego Movie type situation. Overall story seems forgettable and the only defining feature about it is the Minecraft paint of coat.
I'll wait to see peoples reactions to it to see if its any good.
So apparently, The Chef mouse from Ratatouille, Cousin Larry from Kim Possible, Ellie from The Last of Us, Some guy who got a bit part in the 2008 Speed Racer remake, A chick that hops around TV land and whose only known credit to fame is a part in The Goonies, The voice of Lee Everet AND Vol'Jin, Philip J. Fry, and Pee Wee " I hope no one still remembers my masturbation incident" Herman
, are all getting together to play as block people against the horrors of green zombies and the overdone Creepers.
And there's gonna be more? Why do I get the shakey feeling this is going to be like Old Dreamwork's Interpretation of The Lego Movie. With alooot of injokes and more money going into Voice talent.
I still can't get over how Fucking Pee Wee and Corey are in this, aren't they done by now? Paul is 62, and Corey doesn't even work for Disney anymore? :v: Hell he's as dated as Raven Simone.

Do kids even know who Corey Feldman was? Do they know what That's so Raven is? :v:
If not then I'd doubt they'd care who he was.

A lot of them don't really need help telling a story. Warframe (never played it so I don't know), or other multiplayer based games with a lot of lore behind them could work.
My worst fear is the possible success of this for kids, that results in more seasons being made, and less money going to more promising Telltale Projects.
Like a Wolf Among Us Season 2.
For fucking Sam and Max Season 4 already.

Fuck me sideways if there's ever a Poker Night 3 I can sure as hell imagine one of these characters being shove in, hopefully in the background and not as a pokey player.
You know, I would have loved this if the premise was similar to LEGO Movie. But the plot looks rather trite, giving some "lore" to the world that doesn't even sound that interesting (and on top of that, a lore that doesn't really exist in Minecraft in the first place).
The Order are the very best at what they do: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect.
Does anyone else notice that cheesy kid's action shows always seem to define characters by giving them a "class," or something?
I can already see little kids being confused as fuck as to why a minecraft game won't let them play or build
wasn't the idea of minecraft to make up your own adventure/story?
And that's Telltales own adventure/story. You're talking as if this game was now the official minecraft story line.
join us next week in Minecraft Episode 2: The Mystery of the Missing Promised Content!

I only just fucking got Episode 3 to Tales from the Borderlands because they've been pouring it into their Game of Thrones game. Now I'm expecting the season to wrap up 2017.
Clearly aimed at the demographic that minecraft is most popular with.
Is that really a suprise to anyone?
I hope this bombs hard
You know after watching this a few times I feel like this would be a show on modern Nickelodeon.
Why is this a thing? I know why this is coming out... It's because cringe con 2015 is among us soon, Damn I can't wait for the cringe like last year. Anyways kids won't read, would just skip everything, and want to build/do something. Seems like a fucking waste of an opportunity we could have had another game instead of this cringe.
