Well, this man seems like a well enough suited individual to run a country. I can't imagine any problems arising from him down the line. /s
He looks like he's about a level 5 dictator in training. Hitler and Stalin hit the level cap, he's still working on it.

So he promises in a country with a large Muslim population to desecrate the remains of criminals....
I heard he's just talking shit. Apparently he was a pretty good mayor wherever he's from. And all this is just rhetoric.
I want to make a double rainbow joke but I'm stuck...
So if you perform a double homicide, do you get a quadruple hanging? I'm still trying to figure this out.
Double hanging - so they understand their misdoing even better
Need this vice video again.
this is a very prudent move, far too many ex-convicts these days are returning to a life of crime as zombies
If you're going to have insane ideas why not get them drawn and quartered, really.
Very interesting video about the guy and his "campaign" in case anyone missed it in other thread. Watch and form your own opinion of the guy, it's pretty interesting either way.
I can understand putting communists to work, that's good, the province power thing is good.
So he promises in a country with a large Muslim population to desecrate the remains of criminals....
Predominantly Catholics though.
Mr. Duterte said he would likely offer the cabinet posts of environment and natural resources,
Anybody know what their positions are about conservation and sustainability?
Predominantly Catholics though.
Still desecration of remains, not really nice in either religion
this dude had his own death squads even before he was a president. edit: his campaign was something along the lines of "hey criminals i'm going to be the next fucking president and when i am i will find you and double hangl you" edit2: the penalty for p much anything in the city he was mayoring was basically death by motorcycle drive by.

Don't think he was in a hurry to stop them, though.
Double hanging sounds like they'd tie two ropes to your neck at once at different points, then have you hang there like a skipping rope.
Those weren't his, they were just a bunch of rando vigilantes. Don't think he was in a hurry to stop them, though.
trained rando vigilantes with police issue weapons and a strange habit of evading the police for 20 years, ever since their operations started while duterte was the mayor. even if he wasn't involved he's more than glad to take responsibility for the squads and threaten criminals with "assasination".
Sounds like fun.
So he promises in a country with a large Muslim population to desecrate the remains of criminals....
The Muslims live only in a small part of the Southernmost island of Mindanao and the chain of Islands between it and Malaysia. [editline]17th May 2016[/editline]
Double hanging sounds like they'd tie two ropes to your neck at once at different points, then have you hang there like a skipping rope.
What he's proposing is basically doing intentionally the typical result of a botched hanging. See hanging is an art, too little rope and the condemned usually ends up having a shitty death; Too much rope and you behead them; but if you measure the rope correctly then it's an instant death.
Double hanging? Holy shit man. Kind of surprised he didn't go the extra mile and make a machine that pulls your head and your legs, like some kind of stretching torture device incorporating sideways hanging. This is still obviously not ok.

Pretty much anyone can get a M14 or a vietnam era M16 if they really want one due to the laws during the 1960s and 70s that allowed people to own pretty much whatever due to the Government being scared shitless of the communists showing up. And even today eventhough you technically have to have a license and automatics are supposed to be illegal most Filipino gun owners tell me the police usually don't give a fuck unless you're a communist or known criminal.
So this how he's gonna keep his promise of getting rid of crime and corruption in 3-6 months :vs:
Didn't John Oliver talk shit about this guy, saying that he was like Trump, but with a bigger ego? Why would they let this guy become President?
Sounds like a reincarnation of Ferdinand Marcos. I wouldn't be surprised when he leaves office he most likely would have usurped funds from the national budget.

comparing this guy to trump is a bit out there tbh. in terms of western values this guy is a lot worse
